  • Eddie Bauer Outlet makes Legends Outlets Kansas City debut

    Kansas City -- Eddie Bauer has opened an Eddie Bauer Outlet story at Kansas City’s signature designer outlet shopping center, Legends Outlet Kansas City. The new store opened on Nov. 13.   The only area Eddie Bauer Outlet opened between J. Crew | crewcuts and OshKosh B’Gosh at 1813 Village West Parkway, occupying 3,964 sq. ft.

    London, U.K. -- Nearly three-quarters of online retailers (74%) miss out on sales by promoting irrelevant items to online shoppers. According to new research from OrderDynamics, as retailers prepare for the crucial holiday shopping season, many could be driving customers away by promoting irrelevant products, failing to build customer relationships through intelligent follow-up, and ignoring consumer preferences on end-to-end order tracking.  
  • Alibaba plans bond sale

    Hangzhou, China -- Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. plans to hold its first bond sale of senior unsecured notes. The principal amount, interest rates, maturity dates and other terms of the notes have not been finalized and will be determined at the time of pricing of the offering.    Alibaba plans to use the net proceeds from the offering primarily to refinance its existing credit facilities.

    Washington, D.C. -- Canadian outdoor brand Arc'teryx will open its first East Coast location, and fourth in the U.S., in CityCenterDC, downtown Washington, D.C.'s new mixed-use development.   
  • Survey: Consumers seek Black Friday deals

    When asked which Cyber Monday offers they will take advantage of, 70% of consumers said deals. In addition, a new survey from FatWallet.com shows that 42% said coupons, 31% said cash back, 51% said storewide discounts and 68% said free shipping.  
  • NRF: Holiday shoppers to spend $31 billion on gift cards

    Washington, D.C. –- During the 2014 holiday season, spending on tiny plastic or digital gift cards will top all previous records. According to the National Retail Federation (NRF) Gift Card Spending Survey, the average person buying gift cards will spend $172.74, up from $163.16 in 2013. Total spending is expected to reach $31.74 billion.
