  • 360pi launches partner program

    Ottawa, Canada – 360pi has formally launched the 360pi Partner Program. This initiative provides a framework for retail technology providers to leverage 360pi's pricing intelligence in their solutions.

  • Leslie's Poolmart opening 20 stores this week

    Phoenix -- Leslie's Poolmart, Inc. said it will grand-open 20 retail locations throughout the U.S. on April 25; stores will open in Alabama, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

    In total, Leslie's plans to open 45 new stores this year, between April and May of 2014.

     

  • Overstock.com announces merchandising/sourcing promotion

    Salt Lake City -- Overstock.com, Inc. has promoted Seth Marks to the position of senior VP of merchandising and strategic sourcing for the online shopping site.

    Marks began his work at Overstock.com in 2013, and has served as VP of sales and special acquisitions. Previously, he co-founded Big Lots Capital, the special acquisitions arm of Big Lots, Inc., and served there as the VP of merchandising.  He also was chief marketing officer and Acquisition Group president of Tuesday Morning Corp.

     

  • EBay Enterprise releases ship-from-store freight solution

    King of Prussia, Pa. - eBay Enterprise is releasing a new offering for clients using its Ship-From-Store solution. The new solution leverages EBay Enterprise’s solutions with freight companies to provide its Ship-From-Store clients with discounted shipping rates, free or discounted branded packing supplies and rebates for high-volume orders that they would not be able to obtain on their own.

  • Cabela's sees profit plummet by half in first quarter

    Sidney, Neb. -- With last year’s strong first quarter fueled by a firearms and ammunition sales surge, outdoor retailer Cabela’s Inc. saw this year’s quarter end on a less stellar note.

    Revenue in the first quarter fell 9.6% to $725.8 million; retail store revenue decreased 9.4% to $440.9 million. Same-store sales plunged 21.7%, compared to the same period last year.

    Net income was $25.7 million, compared to $49.8 million in the year-ago quarter.

  • Herrick Co. acquires 44 CVS-leased retail properties for $190 million

    Boca Raton, Fla. – Real estate investment firm The Herrick Company Inc., has acquired 44 retail/pharmacy properties located throughout the U.S. The properties, all of which are occupied under long-term triple net leases with CVS Caremark, were acquired for approximately $190 million.

  • StyleChat launches fashion app

    Fremont, Calif. - StyleChat is a new, recently launched smartphone fashion app. The free app allows users to find the latest fashion trends from anywhere online.

    Users can then create unique collections, style looks and mix-and-match pieces with items they already have. Consumers can also try on looks on their selfie, and when ready to buy, purchase with one tap.

  • Yogurtland inks deal with Mansfield, Texas, center

    Irving, Texas — Yogurtland has signed a lease for 1,242 sq. ft. at Mansfield Crossing in Mansfield, Texas.

    WindStar Properties represented the landlord, Mansfield Matlock Partners, in the transaction.  Transwestern Retail represented Yogurtland.
