  • Amazon’s gadget gift guide

    Amazon made it even easier to find holiday gifts for technology lovers this year.   The company launched its annual Electronics Holiday Gift Guide (www.amazon.com/giftguide), a curated list of more than 500 top tech gifts of the season which features 3 times more deals than last year, with 10 deals on electronics items offered every day.

  • Adorama gets aboard the Google Express

    Consumer electronics retailer Adorama is the latest company to join with Google Express to offer same day delivery in Manhattan.

    Customers can now have their purchases of computers, tablets, smartphones, cameras, even TVs and home theaters, delivered right to their door on the same day they order. Google Express is currently offering a three-month free trial on eligible orders over $15 for new members or use the service for $4.99 per order on eligible orders over $15. 

  • Best Buy’s Future Shop unit to debut updated smaller-store concept

    New York -- Canadian consumer electronics retailer Future Shop, a subsidiary of Best Buy, will open its third small-format store, in Cornwall, Ontario, in November. The 8,000-sq.-ft. store  represents the evolution of its small-format that focuses on providing integration between in-store and online and a seamless customer experience. The updates layout features an open view to the back warehouse, a modernized esthetic and a creative use of warm colours that all contribute to an inviting shopping experience.
  • RadioShack offers Fix It Here at 31 Boston stores

    Fort Worth, Texas -- RadioShack's Fix It Here same-day mobile repair service is now available in 31 stores in the Boston area. Fix It Here is available in more than 550 RadioShack stores in key markets across the nation, and RadioShack plans to rollout Fix It Here to 750 locations by the end of the year.  
  • RadioShack offers mobile repair service in 26 Chicago stores

    Fort Worth, Texas -- RadioShack's Fix It Here same-day mobile repair service is now available in 26 stores in the Chicago area. Services include repairs for cracked screens, broken buttons and damaged charging ports.  
  • RadioShacks extends its Fix It service

    RadioShack’s same-day mobile repair service, branded as Fix it Here!, has been extended to more locations in the Chicago market.

    The service is billed as a first-of-its-kind from a national retailer and offers owners of broken mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones the ability to have them repaired the same day, typically in less than two hours, for prices starting at $39.99.

  • Spring Mobile acquires 53 Product Center stores

    Salt Lake City - Spring Mobile, a retailer of AT&T wireless phones and a wholly-owned subsidiary of GameStop Corp., has acquired 53 retail store locations from Product Center. With the addition of the new locations, Spring Mobile now operates 298 stores in 26 states.

  • Report: RadioShack in deal for new financing package

    New York -- RadioShack Corp. has agreed to a financing packaging arranged by its biggest investor, hedge fund Standard General, that would help ease the retailer’s cash crunch as it heads into the holiday selling season, Bloomberg reported.
