    Accruent, a leading global provider of real estate, facilities and asset management solutions, has acquired Verisae, a provider of cloud-based solutions that connect facilities and assets to the maintenance and service network through the Internet of Things (IoT).  
  • Walmart expands payment partnership

    As the battle between Walmart Canada and Visa over interchange rates rages on, Walmart Stores is making more strategic moves with Chase.    Walmart will now process credit and debit payments on ChaseNet, the bank's closed-loop network, across its 5,000-plus Walmart and Sam’s Club locations in the U.S., and on the Sam’s Club e-commerce site. Chase already processes payments for Walmart’s e-commerce channel.  
  • Warehouse giant streamlines online experience

    Shopping online shouldn’t be an overwhelming task.   To help its members better navigate its digital club experience, BJ’s Wholesale Club enhanced its online and mobile shopping sites with streamlined membership processes, enhanced search and navigation features, and an improved online assortment.   
  • Two off-price retailers set to open at Butler’s Gainesville complex

    Payless ShoeSource and Marshalls will be opening their doors in the coming week in the Butler North power center of Butler Enterprises’ 267-acre retail park in Gainesville, Florida. Walmart Supercenter, Sam’s Club, Lowe’s, and Dick’s Sporting Goods made their debuts there earlier this year.   
  • NewMark Merrill completes Colorado ‘lifestyle center’

    The first phase of NewMark Merrill’s redevelopment of the Village at the Peaks in Longmont, Colorado — a 500,000-sq.-ft. lifestyle center — has been completed.   The company purchased the 50% vacant Twin Peaks Mall in 2012 for $8.5 million and has since pumped $90 million into construction of the new project in a private partnership with the city of Longmont that included a $32 million public bond.  
  • Costco's July comps slide 2%

    Costco's comparable sales for the month of July declined 2%, with a 3% decrease in U.S. a 3% rise in Canada and other decreases internationally.  
  • Warehouse club readies for next phase of online growth

    BJ’s Wholesale Club has selected CommerceHub’s unified platform to bolster its online assortment, fulfillment and delivery.    “We’re committed to delivering uncompromising value to our Members, and CommerceHub is a strong partner,” said Jackie Cunningham, VP of e-commerce at BJ’s Wholesale Club, which operates 213 stores in 15 states.   
  • Sam’s Club moves to the cloud to enhance membership experience

    Sam’s Club has selected Salesforce’s customer success platform to digitally transform business membership acquisition and engagement, and create an enhanced membership experience across its more than 650 clubs nationwide.
