  • The Outlet Shoppes at Oklahoma City to open Aug. 5

    Chattanooga, Tenn. -- CBL & Associates Properties and Horizon Group Properties announced Friday that they will open The Outlet Shoppes at Oklahoma City on Aug. 5, fully leased with 83 stores.

    Half the stores are new to Oklahoma City.

    The center is scheduled to open to the public with such designer outlets as Nike, Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, Polo Ralph Lauren, Brooks Brothers, Guess, Chico’s, Coach, Banana Republic, DKNY, J. Crew, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, Under Armour, Levi’s and Carters.

  • Liz Claiborne Q2 loss widens, sales beat estimates

    New York City -- Liz Claiborne, parent company of Kate Spade and Juicy Couture labels, reported Thursday that its second-quarter loss widened to $89.9 million, from $86.8 million in the year-ago period.

    Sales rose to $555.8 million from $536.8 million, beating Wall Street’s anticipated $522.1 million.
     

  • Ghurka to open new boutique on Fifth Avenue

    New York City -- Robert K. Futterman & Associates said Tuesday it has arranged a long-term, 1,140-sq.-ft. lease for fine leather luggage and handbag retailer Ghurka at 781 Fifth Ave., located at 59th Street in the Plaza District. 

    The new Ghurka flagship, which will augment an existing location at The Plaza Retail Collection, will occupy 915 sq. ft. on the ground floor and 225 sq. ft. in the basement at its new Fifth Avenue space. 

  • Tory Burch to open at Town Center at Boca Raton

    Boca Raton, Fla. -- Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group said Tuesday that Tory Burch will open a new boutique at Town Center at Boca Raton. The new 2,600-sq.-ft. store is slated to open in early August.

    It will be the company’s 53rd boutique.

  • Lagerfeld glams up Macy's this fall

    NEW YORK — Macy’s announced that its Karl Lagerfeld capsule collection will arrive in about 235 Macy's stores and on Macys.com beginning Aug. 31.

    “To me Macy’s is the perfect department store in the United States where everybody can find what they're looking for without ruining their budget,” said Karl Lagerfeld. “That’s why I am happy to make this limited collection just for Macy’s.”

  • Englewood Construction completes five retail projects

    Chicago -- Englewood Construction, announced it has completed construction on five retail projects in the Chicago and Washington, D.C., regions.

    In the Chicago area, the firm finished construction of a 21,654-sq.-ft. Hhgregg store in Joliet, a 33,115–sq.–ft. Sears outlet in Naperville and a Mrs. Fields/TCBY Yogurt at Westfield Old Orchard shopping center in Skokie.
     

  • Gwen Stefani kids line coming to TGT

    A new infant through tween apparel line from Gwen Stefani called Harajuku Mini for Target is slated to hits stores this fall, according to various media reports of an interview the singer did with Women’s Wear Daily. Prices are expected to range from $3.99 to $39.99.

    Stefani already has an adult line of clothes called Harajuku, so it’s not like Target is taking a flyer on a completely unknown commodity.

  • Lululemon athletica to open at Town Center at Boca Raton

    Boca Raton, Fla. — Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group announced Monday that lululemon athletica will grand-open a new store at Town Center at Boca Raton on July 22.

  • Westwood Financial acquires McCrimmon Corners

    Los Angeles — Westwood Financial Corp. said Monday it has purchased McCrimmon Corners shopping center, located in Morrisville, N.C.

    The 86,267-sq.-ft. grocery-anchored center, sold to Westwood by Crosland, currently is 99% leased. Anchor tenant Harris Teeter is joined by Tossed Salads, Taekwondo Academy, Nikos Taverna, Saffron Indian Food Restaurant, Two Guys Grille, Subway, AT&T, Great Clips, State Farm and Red Dragon.

  • Naartjie Kids expands into Middle East

    Saudi Arabia — Children’s retailer Naartjie Kids said Thursday it opened its first Saudi Arabia flagship store on July 9 in the Riyadh Gallery Mall.  The company said six additional Saudi Arabia stores are slated to open this month.
