  • Report: A major retailer boosting minimum wage — again

    Conshohocken, Pa. – Home furnishings giant Ikea is increasing the minimum wage it pays to U.S. employees in stores and some distribution centers for the second straight year.

    According to the Associated Press, Ikea’s average U.S. minimum hourly wage will rise about 10% to $11.87 from $10.76 as of Jan. 1, 2016.

  • CVS names new marketing chief

    Woonsocket, R.I. -- Norman de Greve will join CVS Health as chief marketing officer, effective July 15. In this role, de Greve will be accountable for marketing strategy across the enterprise.  

    Currently, de Greve is president of the Boston and Detroit offices of the DigitasLBi marketing agency. de Greve has experience in cross-channel communications planning, brand campaigns, media, loyalty and analytics.

    In addition to his 14 years at DigitasLBi, de Greve spent time in management consulting.
     

  • Marketing executive joins Nordstrom board

    Seattle - Nordstrom Inc. has appointed Tanya Domier, CEO of Advantage Sales & Marketing LLC (ASM) to the company's board of directors. Her addition brings the total number of directors to 14 and the number of independent directors to 11.

  • Kate Spade appoints new executive president of North America

    New York - Kate Spade & Co. is naming Emilia Fabricant as executive VP, president of North America, effective June 29. In this role, Fabricant will oversee the company's North America business, with responsibilities across all distribution channels, and will report to Craig A. Leavitt, CEO.  

  • Saatchi & Saatchi makes executive moves

    Los Angeles – Creative agency Saatchi & Saatchi is making three key executive changes. Julie Michael has been named president of Team One, Saatchi & Saatchi's fully integrated premium, luxury and aspirational brand agency, effective Aug. 1.
