New York City -- Forest City Enterprises announced Tuesday that, as part of the company’s succession planning process, current president and CEO Charles A. Ratner will become chairman of the board, and will be succeeded as president and CEO by David J. LaRue, currently executive VP and COO.

The changes will be effective following Forest City's annual meeting of shareholders on June 10.

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. -- Stater Bros. chairman and CEO Jack Brown has joined the likes of Bob Hope, Will Rogers and Ronal Reagan as a recipient of the prestigious Patriot Award, the company announced. 

The Congressional Medal of Honor Society presented Brown with the award on Feb. 26 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, Calif., where 45 Medal of Honor recipients and other notable guests were gathered, the company reported.

Boca Raton, Fla. -- Woolbright Development announced that it has appointed Geoff Higginbotham as director of accounting.

Higginbotham is responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for the company’s wholly owned assets and partnerships. He was previously corporate controller for Turnberry Associates in Aventura, Fla.

SEATTLE -- Recreational Equipment Inc. announced that Sue Sallee joined the company in the newly created position of VP accounting and finance. The company has also promoted Angela Owen, Tim Spangler and Tom Vogl to SVPs  of the merchandising, retail, and marketing divisions respectively.

Beaumont, Texas -- Electronics and appliances retailer Conns announced Monday that its president and CEO Timothy L. Frank has resigned the company.

Conns named Theodore M. Wright as the interim CEO and president, and has launched a search for a permanent replacement.

Frank has led the company as president and CEO since June 2009; he has been president since April 2006, and previously served as COO and senior VP retail.

Frank left to pursue other opportunities, the company said.

Fort Myers, Fla. -- White House|Black Market, a division of Chico's FAS announced that Liz Edmiston has been named senior VP, general merchandise manager for White House|Black Market, effective Feb. 28.

Edmiston joins White House|Black Market from Tory Burch, where she served as VP merchandising. She has also served as VP merchandising for Victoria's Secret.
 

MIDDLEBURY, Conn. -- Timex Group announced that it has named Gary Cohen president and CEO of the company. Cohen will also join the company’s board of directors.

“I feel honored to lead one of the world’s largest and most iconic watch companies,” Cohen said. “I look forward to developing new business opportunities across our extensive portfolio of brands in both developed and emerging markets worldwide.”

Hoffman Estates, Ill. -- Sears Holdings Corp. in a regulatory filing on Friday reported that its newly named CEO Louis J. D'Ambrosio will be compensated $7.2 million and a charter airplane for his commute from Pennsylvania to Illinois, as calculated and reported by the Associated Press.

D’Ambrosio will also be eligible for a bonus of up to $2 million, according to the report.
