  • Divaris signs Tex-Mex restaurant, Red Wing Shoes

    Richmond, Va. — Divaris Real Estate has announced the signing of two retail leases in the greater Richmond suburb of Midlothian.

    Tex-Mex restaurant Chuy’s has leased 7,449 sq. ft. in the Village at Swift Creek in Midlothian. The Richmond office of DRE represented the landlord, Swift Creek Associates. This will be Chuy’s second Richmond location. Chuy’s will join Guitar Center, Babies “R” Us, TGIF, Red Lobster and Cracker Barrel in the development.

  • Majestic breaks ground on Inland Empire project

    Redlands, Calif. — Majestic Realty Co. has announced that construction has begun on the Mountain Grove at Citrus Plaza shopping center. Located adjacent to Citrus Plaza in the Inland Empire at the intersection of the I-210 and I-10 freeways, Mountain Grove plans to open in summer 2015.

    The 468,000-sq.-ft Phase I development is the sibling project to Citrus Plaza. It will add another 670,000-sq. ft. of retail, dining and entertainment.

  • Panera Bread unveils new ordering, payment technologies to improve customer experience

    St. Louis - Panera Bread has unveiled a series of integrated technologies to enhance the customer experience at its restaurants. The new “Panera 2.0” initiative brings together new capabilities for digital ordering, payment, operations and consumption for patrons who choose to eat in as well as for those who order to go. In test for several years, the solution is now live in 14 of the chain’s locations and is slated to be deployed in nearly all locations over the next 36 months.

  • Jo-Ann takes capes and crafts to basketball game April 12

    Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores is teaming with the Cleveland Cavaliers for an unconventional promotion. The craft retailer will be distributing capes to fans at the second annual Superhero Night at the Cavs vs. Boston Celtics game Saturday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m. at Quicken Loans Arena.

  • TableSavvy launches iPhone dining app in Chicago

    Chicago – TableSavvy, a real-time, last-minute dining reservation system, is launching its first-ever mobile app for iPhone users. Chicagoland restaurants can post last-minute available tables through TableSavvy's online platform.

    For a $5 service fee, spontaneous diners can reserve these last-minute tables and receive a 30% discount off their meal through booking reservations online or via the new app.

  • SRS signs new associate in Atlanta

    Dallas — SRS Real Estate Partners welcomes Logan Elder as an associate in the Atlanta office. She will focus on tenant representation.

    Elder comes to SRS from Post Properties, where she handled management and leasing for multi-family developments retail and restaurant space.

    Ready Pac Foods has hired Peter Laport as the company’s SVP, chief supply chain officer.
