  • IT’SUGAR and Buckle to open at Colorado Mills

    Lakewood, Colo. -- Colorado Mills will add IT’SUGAR this March and Buckle during this fall to its current mix of more than 200 stores. These new retailers follow openings by Calvin Klein, Michael Kors Outlet and Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen.

    IT’SUGAR will be located in Neighborhood 4 near American Eagle Outfitters Factory Store. Buckle is also coming to Neighborhood 4.

  • Dunkin’ Donuts seeks franchise growth in Louisiana

    Canton, Mass. - Dunkin' Donuts, is recruiting franchisees throughout the state of Louisiana. The company is placing an emphasis on the New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lake Charles and Lafayette markets.

    Currently, there are nine Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in the state.
     

  • Publix, Aldi, H-E-B top Temkin Experience Ratings

    Waban, Mass. – Publix, Aldi and H-E-B share something besides all operating in the grocery sector. Based on a study of 10,000 U.S consumers, the three supermarket chains earned the highest scores in the 2015 Temkin Experience Ratings that ranks 293 companies across 20 industries.

    Joining those firms in the top 12 spots are retailers Chick-fil-A, PetSmart, Amazon.com, Trader Joe's, Papa John's, Walgreens, and Hannaford's.

  • OpenTable celebrates rebrand with omnichannel contest

    San Francisco - For the first time in more than a decade, OpenTable, a provider of online restaurant reservations and part of The Priceline Group, unveiled a rebrand. Core elements of the new OpenTable brand include a reimagined company logo mark and tagline, as well as a fresh and current look and feel of the web and mobile experiences for both diners and restaurants.  

  • Visa, Pizza Hut testing ‘connected’ car; order, pay from cars — without phones

    New York -- Visa Inc., Pizza Hut and Accenture have teamed up to develop a connected car to test mobile and online purchases on the go. The connected car is expected to feature Visa Checkout (Visa’s online payment service), cellular connectivity, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and Beacon technology deployed at Pizza Hut restaurants to alert staff when the customer has arrived and is ready to pick up the order. Accenture is managing the integration of the technologies.

  • Blue Nile names private equity exec to board

    Seattle - Blue Nile, Inc. has added Robert van Schoonenberg to its board of directors, effective Feb. 23. van Schoonenberg is chairman and CEO of BayPoint Capital Partners LLC, a private equity firm, and a co-managing partner of AmeriCap Partners LLC, a growth capital investment firm.

    Prior to sale of the company to a strategic investor in June 2010, he was an investor in and served as chairman of Premiere Entertainment LLC, a company in the business of digital broadcast production.

    Orlando, Fla. - Planet Hollywood, is transforming its Orlando flagship location into a four-story star-gazing observatory set to debut in spring 2016. The reimagined “Planet Hollywood Observatory” will overlook the heart of Downtown Disney with a newly-expanded outdoor terrace and bar.
