  • Dunkin International president resigns

    Canton, Mass. -- Dunkin' Brands Group, parent to Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins, said Friday that its international president Neal Yanofsky has resigned the company by mutual agreement.

    Dunkin’s has initiated a search for his replacement. In the interim, CEO Nigel Travis will assume reporting responsibility for Dunkin' Donuts International, and Neil Moses, Dunkin' Brands CFO, will assume responsibility for Baskin-Robbins International.
     

  • Green Valley Markets to open at Elkridge Corners

    Elkridge, Md. -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said that it has leased retail space in Elkridge, Md., at Elkridge Corners shopping center to Green Valley Markets. 

    A Baltimore-based grocery wholesaler/retailer founded in 1915, B. Green & Company is opening its third retail location and its first new full-service neighborhood supermarket concept Green Valley Markets in a 39,571-sq.-ft. space. Interior and exterior store improvements will begin this month. The store opening date is still to be finalized.

  • Crossman negotiates three new long-term leases

    Orlando, Fla. -- Crossman & Co. said Friday it has negotiated three lease agreements totaling 4,955 sq. ft. at shopping centers in Largo and Marco Island, Fla.

    Sage’s West Bay Bistro leased 2,023 sq. ft. for five years at Pinellas Shopping Center, in Largo. At the West Bay Village Town Centre, in Largo, La Chic salon and spa leased 1,632 sq. ft. for three years. And, Harrison negotiated a new lease at the Shops of Marco, in Marco Island, along with Sapphire Dry Cleaners for 1,300 sq. ft.
     

  • Domino’s Pizza’s ordering app achieves $1 million in weekly sales

    Ann Arbor, Mich. -- Domino's Pizza announced that at after just three months since its launch, the new Domino's App for iPhone and iPod touch has achieved $1 million in sales over a single week.

    The app, offering customers the ability to order from almost all of Domino's nearly 5,000 U.S. locations with no login required, is well-received by consumers and fans.

  • Lee & Associates names execs

    Chicago -- Commercial real estate firm Lee & Associates said it has added two senior VPs to its Chicago office.

    Joseph Herron and Jason Sorce have both joined Lee & Associates Chicago as part of the firm’s expansion in the Midwest.

    The firm also recently added Robyn Smart as a senior advisor in its Indianapolis office.

    Herron joins Lee & Associates from Mid-America Real Estate Corp., where he spent 10 years as a retail broker. Sorce was previously with SRS Real Estate Partners and NAI Hiffman.

  • Open-air owners give Jones Lang LaSalle the nod to lease, manage centers

    Atlanta -- Jones Lang LaSalle announced Tuesday that Rally Capital Services, LLC, and Pacific Avenue, LLC, have chosen the firm to lease and manage their open-air centers.

    Rally Capital selected Jones Lang LaSalle Retail to lease and manage Kendall Marketplace, a 750,000-sq.-ft. regional power center in Yorkville, Ind., anchored by Dick’s Sporting Goods, Kohl’s, SuperTarget and The Home Depot.

  • Applebee’s franchisee selects JobApp for hiring solution

    Newton, Pa. -- Restaurant operator, The Rose Group, a 59-unit Applebee's and four-unit Corner Bakery Café franchisee, said Tuesday it has selected JobApp Network as its automated hiring solution to improve restaurant hiring, manage compliance and maximize employee tax credits.

    Including the Rose Group, nearly 150 Applebee's units are currently utilizing the complete end-to-end hiring solution provided by JobApp, based in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.

  • Five Guys to open mall location in Queens

    Flushing, N.Y. -- Five Guys Burgers and Fries said Monday is has opened a new location at Sky View Center, located in Flushing, N.Y.

    The upscale fast-food chain has opened a 2,000-sq.-ft. location on level B of the 800,000-sq.-ft. regional mall, and is one of 200 new franchises opening in 2011 for the chain.
