Starbucks in Manhattan hit by small bomb
New York City An early morning explosion, caused by a small bomb, destroyed a sidewalk bench and shattered windows in a Starbucks coffee shop.
No one was injured in the blast, which happened around 3:30 a.m. Monday on Manhattan's Upper East Side near the Guggenheim Museum.
New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly told The Daily News that the department didn't yet know the motive but that Starbucks branches in other cities had been attacked by protesters against the company's global presence.
