  • Pure Health Bar makes New Jersey debut at Cherry Hill Mall

    Cherry Hill, N.J. -- Philadelphia-based Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust said that Pure Health Bar has opened at Cherry Hill Mall, in Cherry Hill, N.J.

    Located in the Food Court, the 263-sq.-ft. Pure Health Bar is the only one of its kind in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, expanding the mall’s roster of first-to-market retailers.

  • Mediterranean restaurant to open at Union Square

    New York City -- Winick Realty Group said that restaurateur Danny Hodak, owner of Hell’s Kitchen Mediterranean eatery Taboon, has leased 1,000 sq. ft. of ground-floor space at 30 East 13th Street, between Fifth Avenue and University Place, for a new, as-yet-unnamed quick-service Mediterranean concept.

    The restaurant is anticipated to open in the next two months and if it’s a success, Hodak plans to roll out more locations for the concept across New York City.
     

  • Starbucks’ Times Square location lights up with LEDs

    New York City -- Solid-state lighting figures prominently in Starbucks’ newly renovated Time Square flagship in New York City. The retailer utilized the services of Focus Lighting, a New York-based architectural lighting design firm, which called upon LED Source, an international supplier of LED lighting.

    “LEDs are the most energy-efficient lighting solution on the market,” said Joe Zamore, VP of business development, LED Source, Wellington, Fla., which specializes specializes in full-scale evaluations and retrofits.

    Philadelphia -- Simon Property Group announced Tuesday plans to unify the two main shopping venues of King of Prussia Mall, in King of Prussia, Pa., expanding one of America's most productive and iconic retail destinations.

  • CiCi's Pizza selects strategy partner to add 500 restaurants over 8-10 years

    Coppell, Texas -- CiCi's Pizza said Tuesday it has partnered with strategic site modeling company Birchwood Resultants to add another 500 restaurants in the next eight to 10 years.

  • Dunkin' Brands to open 27 new locations in Louisiana

    Canton, Mass. -- Dunkin' Brands Group said Tuesday it has signed agreements to develop 25 new Dunkin' Donuts and two Baskin-Robbins in Louisiana over the next several years.

    Cities targeted for development include Baton Rouge, Shreveport and New Orleans.

    "The state of Louisiana has been a priority growth market for Dunkin' Brands in 2011 and we're excited to expand our footprint in Baton Rouge, Shreveport and New Orleans," said Grant Benson, VP franchising and market planning, Dunkin' Brands.

  • Chipotle Mexican Grill to open at Corbin’s Center

    West Hartford, Conn. -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said that Chipotle Mexican Grill will open a new restaurant at Corbin’s Center, located in West Hartford, Conn.

    The 3,500-sq.-ft. restaurant is slated to open October 2012.

    Corbin’s Center, at 186,163 sq. ft., is anchored by Trader Joe’s alongside national retailers such as Best Buy, Old Navy and Toys “R” Us.

  • Aeropostale appoints Starbucks exec to board

    New York City -- Aeropostale announced that Arthur Rubinfeld, president - global development for Starbucks Coffee Co., has been appointed to the Aeropostale board of directors.

    Rubinfeld helped build the foundation of Starbucks as senior VP real estate from 1992 to 2002, and returned to the company in his current position in 2008.
