    Dallas - Corner Bakery Cafe plans to open 13 new stores in greater Cleveland. The retailer has entered into its first area development agreement in the state of Ohio.

  • BFC Properties breaks ground on Staten Island’s Empire Outlets

    New York - BFC Partners has broken ground on Empire Outlets, a 340,000-sq.-ft. retail complex that will create more than 1,800 jobs and bring $285 million in private investment to the New York City borough of Staten Island.  

  • Victoria Gardens, Rancho Cucamonga, California

    Victoria Gardens will break ground on a full streetscape renovation encompassing 1.19 acres of the center along its Monet Avenue, according to Melina Ferraez, director of marketing for Victoria Gardens.

  • Papa Murphy’s adds three independent directors

    Vancouver, Wash. – Papa Murphy’s Holdings Inc. has appointed Jean M. Birch, Rob Weisberg and Jeffrey B. Welch as independent members of its board of directors, effective April 15, 2015. The appointments replace both Thomas H. Lee and Achi Yaffe, who have resigned from the board, as well as increase the board size by one seat.

  • PREIT and Macerich seek to redevelop, rebrand The Gallery in Philadelphia

    Philadelphia -- Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust and The Macerich Company announced that they have reached a tentative agreement with the City of Philadelphia on a redevelopment and re-branding of the Gallery shopping mall and transit center in the heart of Center City.

  • Long John Silver’s names McDonald’s, Einstein Noah veteran as COO

    Louisville, Ky. - Long John Silver's has named Brian Unger as COO. He joins the organization with more than 30 years of experience in the food service industry.

    Unger's restaurant operations experience began as a manager trainee at McDonald's, where he moved on to promotions and international leadership positions in the Caribbean and Latin America. He achieved the positions of senior VP of McDonald's USA and VP of McDonald's Restaurants of Canada.

  • Olive Garden rolls out Ziosk tabletop tablets in May

    Orlando, Fla. - Olive Garden has entered into an agreement with Ziosk to begin the introduction of tabletop tablets in all of its restaurants nationwide. Olive Garden has been testing Ziosk in a select number of its restaurants since 2014, and the feedback from guests and servers has been positive.

  • Firehouse Subs to open four new Dallas-Fort Worth restaurants

    Dallas -- The Woodmont Co. represented Firehouse Subs in the food chain’s continued expansion in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The fast-casual restaurant chain retained Woodmont to identify four strategic locations which have now been secured. The spaces range in size from 1,800 sq. ft. to 2,025 sq. ft., and the first of the four new restaurants opened in late January 2015, with the remainder opening as early as April 2015.

    Grant Gary and Joseph Williams of The Woodmont Co. represented Firehouse Subs in all four transactions.
