Kohl's unwraps holiday plans
Kohl’s holiday plans include extended assortments, toys starting at $4.99, an online personalized gift list, extended returns and more.
On the merchandise front, shoppers will find Sephora gift sets and fragrances, and deeper selections across brands and items, with more color and size options. The mix includes only-at-Kohl’s signature brands such as LC Lauren Conrad, FLX and Sonoma Goods for Life along with new names such as Bearpaw and Bobby Flay. National brands, including Nike, Levi’s and others, will balance out the assortment. Kohl’s toy assortment will feature gifts starting at $4.99.
In other offerings, shoppers will find a more prominent in-store “Tree Farm” department, featuring trees, ornaments, lights, inflatables and seasonal decor. Kohl’s toy assortment will feature gifts starting at $4.99.
The department store retailer said it looking to make holiday shopping feel simple and fun with organized gift guides, price-based gifting collections, and easy-to-navigate experiences, online and in-store. Kohl’s “Top Gift List’ highlights must-have items across categories, featured with “Top Gift Pick” badging at the holiday gift shop on Kohls.com. Shoppers can also browse curated gift ideas by price — with options under $10, $15, $25, and $50 — for gift ideas.
As in years past, Kohl’s is extending its return window for the holiday season. All Kohl’s purchases made October 5, 2025 through October 31, 2025 are eligible for return through Jan. 31, 2026. Premium electronics and watches purchases made Oct, 5, 2025 through Dec, 30, 2025 are eligible for return through Jan. 31, 2026. Also, Sephora at Kohl’s purchases made Oct. 31, 2025 through Dec. 30, 2025 are eligible for return through the end of January.
In November, Kohl’s will launch “Holiday Quest,” a holiday game featuring new ways to win every day during the season. It has a grand prize of $100,000.
Also, new this holiday season, is a “My List” feature on the retailer’s website and app that’s designed to make shopping easier and more personal. Customers can tap the heart icon on any product to build a personalized shopping list, rename and organize their picks, or share their list with friends and family.
Kohl's holiday marketing will start at the end of October, a week earlier than last year. It will feature actress Ellie Kemper, best known for her roles in “The Office” and “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” as the “Kohl’s Mom."
“We want gifting to feel easier, more joyful, and more fun for families,” said Christie Raymond, Kohl’s chief marketing officer. “Whether customers are shopping early, looking for inspiration, or want help organizing their lists – our gift solutions and digital experiences will help bring that to life.”
The retailer is spreading holiday cheer by gifting $1,000 grants to nonprofits nationwide to help purchase gifts and essential items for the individuals they serve through the Kohl’s “Cares Shopping Grant” program, funded by the Kohl’s Cares Goods For Good merchandise program.
In a new initiative, Kohl’s has teamed up with Mattel for a special "Kohl’s Cares "collection in celebration of Mattel’s 80th anniversary. It features toys and books — including Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price and Polly Pocket — all priced under $10 and available in-store and online.
