It’s 87 degrees in Minnesota, and Mall of America is hot for summer

Snow’s gone, fun’s on at that big mall in Bloomington.

The air conditioning’s on in Bloomington, Minn., and so is Mall of America’s season-long “Summer is on Us” promotion.

"Summer is an incredible time of year in our great state and we want to do something special and memorable for our guests and for people throughout the community who we love,” said Jill Renslow, chief marketing officer at the nation’s largest mall.

Bubly sparkling water gets things going this week with a $1000 sweepstakes prize package that includes a one-night stay at Hilton Garden Inn Minneapolis and gift cards from Nordstrom, Vuori, and Warby Parker.

The Summer Sweeps continue each week with free stuff from Legacy Toys, Dr. Martens, Perumiana, Timberland, and Lululemon, culminating with a Bloomington Convention and Visitors Bureau drawing on Aug. 31.

Contestants need not be on the Mall of America premises to take part but can access entry forms on the malls website. Folks can also find Mall of America Mystery Prize QR codes scattered throughout the Twin Cities on buses, buildings, benches, and train stations. These codes can be entered at the mall’s Mystery Prize kiosk.

MOA will also be spending the summer handing out goodies like movie tickets to B&B Theatres or cookies at Baking Betty’s both on-and off-site.

“There is nothing better than seeing the faces of people light up with joy as we create surprise and delight moments across Minnesota,” said Renslow. “We’re excited to add a little extra fun to the season.”
