Furniture and home decor retailer At Home has found its next leader.

The company has appointed Judd Nystrom as CEO, effective Nov. 1. His appointment follows the July 2 retirement of former CEO Brad Weston, who had led At Home since June 2024. Weston succeeded longtime chairman and chief executive Lewis L. (Lee) Bird, who retired at the end of 2023.

Nystrom is a company veteran, having spent roughly seven years in total with At Home. Prior to being tapped for the CEO role, Nystrom served as independent director and the chair of the Audit and Risk Management Committee of the company's board of directors since December 2025.

Previously, from 2013 to 2018, Nystrom served as At Home's chief financial officer, and is credited with playing a key role in the company's Initial Public Offering in 2016. Most recently, Nystrom served as chief financial officer of Caliber Collision from July 2019 through February 2026.

"Judd combines deep familiarity with At Home, strong financial discipline and a commitment to developing people," said John Eck, executive chairman of At Home. "He understands the work underway and the opportunity ahead. We are confident he is the right leader to partner with the At Home team to drive brand growth across stores and digital, modernize our supply chain, and deliver a more inspiring, differentiated and rewarding customer experience."

Nystrom has more than 30 years of leadership experience across retail. Earlier in his career, he held senior financial roles at Advance Auto Parts, Best Buy and Carlson Companies.

"At Home is a company I know well and care deeply about," Nystrom said. "I have seen firsthand the strength of this brand and the passion of its people. It is an honor to return as CEO, and help more customers discover our inspiring products, compelling value and a more personal, rewarding shopping experience."

At Home added that Aaron Rose, who was promoted to president and chief commercial officer in May 2026, will continue to lead the company's commercial transformation, overseeing merchandising, marketing, e-commerce, planning, supply chain, stores and more. Under his leadership, At Home says it has accelerated its assortment reinvention, redefined its brand positioning, and launched its new loyalty program, Design Rewards.

"Aaron is an exceptional leader and a critical partner," Nystrom added. "He brings strong commercial leadership and a deep commitment to our customers. I look forward to working alongside Aaron and our leadership team to build on the company's progress and drive long-term shareholder value."

Founded in 1979 and headquartered in Dallas, At Home operates 227 stores across 39 states. It offers its customers an extensive selection of furniture, outdoor, rugs, wall art, lighting, textiles, bedding and seasonal decor.

At Home filed for bankruptcy protection in June 2025. It emerged several months later, in October, having eliminated "substantially" all of its nearly $2 billion in funded debt and closing about 30 locations.
