The chief executive of At Home Group Inc. is leaving after two years on the job.

The value home furnishings retailer said that CEO Brad Weston has made the decision to retire “following a period of meaningful transformation for the company.” He will remain in his role through the end of June before stepping into an advisory position to support a smooth transition.

Weston joined At Home as CEO in June 2024, succeeding longtime chairman and chief executive Lewis L. (Lee) Bird, who retired at the end of 2023. Prior to At Home, Weston served as CEO of Party City Holdings Inc., which he left after the company completed its restructuring and emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

At Home filed for bankruptcy protection in June 2025. It emerged several months later, in October, having eliminated "substantially" all of its nearly $2 billion in funded debt and closing about 30 locations.

The At Home board has started a search for the company’s next chief executive officer.

“On behalf of the board, I want to thank Brad for his leadership during a critical and transformative period for At Home,” said chairman John Eck. “Under his guidance, the company strengthened its foundation, established a clear strategic direction, and positioned the business for long-term growth. We are confident in the company’s strategy, leadership team, and the opportunities ahead.”

In connection with leadership move, Aaron Rose, chief commercial officer, has been promoted to president and chief commercial officer, effective immediately. In his expanded role, he will oversee company operations, spanning merchandising, digital, store operations, marketing, sourcing, planning and supply chain.

Prior to joining At Home last year, Rose served in a number of leadership roles across retail, including chief commercial officer of Banana Republic, CEO of ABC Carpet & Home, chief of emerging and value brands for J.Crew, senior VP strategy of West Elm and more.

"We continue forward with a focus on elevating the At Home brand and strengthening our connection with customers,” said Rose. “By taking decisive action to drive relevance and inspiration, we are anchoring our strategy in differentiated product, compelling value, and an enhanced experience that helps customers express themselves and reflect how they want to live. I’m excited about the progress underway and the opportunity ahead for the business.”

Based in Dallas, At Home operates 229 stores in 39 states.
