DoorDash integrates delivery services with Shopify

DoorDash - Shopify
DoorDash is available for Shopify retailers.

Independent retailers on the Shopify e-commerce platform have a new option for providing on-demand delivery to their customers.

DoorDash is releasing an integration designed to give independent Shopify retailers a direct, seamless path to integrate with DoorDash. The on-demand delivery platform is now available as a native sales channel inside the Shopify app store.

This means any Shopify retailer with a brick-and-mortar presence in the U.S. can add their product catalog to the DoorDash marketplace by enabling a new channel with no separate onboarding process, manual catalog uploads, or disruption to existing operations.

"If it's in your area, it's on DoorDash,” said Mike Goldblatt, VP of enterprise partnerships at DoorDash. “That's the promise driving today's news. Local, independent retailers are the heart of local commerce, and they deserve tools that work as hard as they do. As the first on-demand marketplace that Shopify merchants can activate directly from their existing Shopify admin, we're opening the door to retail merchants who can now reach their communities faster than ever."

Self-serve integration onboarding is built directly into the Shopify experience, cutting setup time from weeks to days. Retailers manage their catalog in Shopify, syncing products and inventory automatically so that when a customer orders what’s listed on DoorDash always matches available products on the shelf.

“Merchants want to sell wherever their customers are, and increasingly that means meeting them with speed and convenience,” said Atlee Clark, VP of partnerships at Shopify. “This integration puts local retailers in front of millions of DoorDash shoppers and turns same-day demand into sales, all managed inside Shopify.”

Shopify Plus retailers can now deliver via Uber

Since December 2025, retailers on the Shopify Plus high-volume e-commerce platform specifically designed for large enterprises have the Uber Direct white-label delivery service available in the U.S., Canada and France.

Through a first-of-its-kind integration, Uber Direct for Shopify brings Uber’s one-hour, same-day, and scheduled delivery network directly into the Shopify ecosystem. In 2022, Shopify acquired Deliverr, a San Francisco-based provider of e-commerce fulfillment and order-storage services, to create an end-to-end logistics platform for its retailers.
