Dollar Tree names four new C-suite officers

Dollar Tree is adding four new executives to its C-suite.

Dollar Tree has made four additions to its leadership team.

The discounter named a new chief compliance officer, chief diversity officer, chief sustainability officer and chief communications officer.

The additions, which are listed below, come after a June shakeup of Dollar Tree’s executive leadership team in a move to support “growth and accelerate the implementation of its value creation initiatives,” the company said. The changes included the departure of the chief information officer, chief strategy officer, chief operating officer and chief legal officer, and corporate secretary. Also, in August, Dollar Tree named Jeffrey A. Davis as its next CFO.

Here are the new members of the Dollar Tree c-suite.

Jennifer Bohaty was named chief compliance officer. Prior to joining Dollar Tree, she was global chief of ethics and compliance at LL Flooring, where she developed and enhanced regulatory relationships through equitably investigating and proactively addressing past compliance-related challenges.

Bohaty’s prior retail experience includes roles of increasing responsibility, ultimately serving as executive director of global product safety, quality and compliance with Toys ‘R’ Us, after serving as senior product safety manager at Target

Terence Goods was named chief diversity officer.  Goods most recently served as VP of diversity and inclusion at Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits, a $21 billion wine distributor in the U.S. His prior leadership roles include stints with Wells Fargo, Bank of America and JCPenney.

• Jennifer Silberman was named chief sustainability officer.  Before Dollar Tree, she was VP of ESG for YETI, where she established the company’s first ESG priorities.

Silberman previously led corporate responsibility efforts and teams for global companies including Target and Hilton, driving efforts to create long-term sustainability strategies and goals.

Kristin Tetreault was named chief communications officer.  She joins Dollar Tree from Stanley Black & Decker, the world’s largest tool company, where she was VP of enterprise & executive communications.

Tetreault also held communication leadership roles at The Hartford Financial Services, UnitedHealth Group and Texas Instruments, among others.

“As we continue to build our leadership team capability and focus intently on culture, compliance and ESG, I’m pleased to announce the additions of Jennifer Bohaty, Terence Goods, Jennifer Silberman and Kristin Tetreault to the Dollar Tree team,” stated Mike Witynski, president and CEO. “These important additions demonstrate our company’s commitment to improving the experiences of our shoppers and building an engaging culture of belonging for our associates.”

In August, Dollar Tree reported that its second-quarter sales rose 6.7% to $6.77 billion from $6.34 billion. Same-store sales increased 7.5% at Dollar Tree and 2.0% at Family Dollar. It earned $1.60 a share on net income of $359.9 million for the quarter ended July 30, compared with earnings of $1.23 a share on net income of $282.4 million in the year-ago quarter.
