Connected fitness platform Echelon integrates with Amazon AI
Echelon is using advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning technology from Amazon to deliver a personalized workout experience.
The provider of membership-based connected fitness services is partnering with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosted cloud subsidiary of Amazon to combine generative AI models from the proprietary Amazon Bedrock platform with its premium fitness content.

The new Echelon AI fitness solution adapts workouts across treadmills, bikes, rowers, and strength platforms, enabling users to work out at home as well as the gym. All content is personalized to individual user goals.
Echelon AI also offers features including:
- AI-powered class recommendations based on workout history and preferences.
- Intelligent schedule management for home and gym workout routines through a conversational AI interface.
- Real-time progress tracking and plan optimization.
- Smart fitness equipment, live and on-demand classes, and AI-basedpersonalization.
- AI-driven recommendations and instructor-led classes in multiple languages.
The solution also leverages the Amazon OpenSearch data management solution's vector search capabilities to deliver personalization by aligning members with optimal class selections, exercise routines, and instructors, based on their historical workout data and training preferences."

The new AI-enhanced platform is available to Echelon members and commercial gyms. Amazon has also collaborated with Echelon rival Peloton, which offers connected fitness and “smart bike” solutions.
