    Accenture has signed on as the title sponsor for the Retail Cyber Intelligence Summit, which will be held in Chicago, October 3 - 4, 2017. The event is sponsored by the Retail Cyber Intelligence Sharing Center (R-CISC).   
  • Target and Best Buy among speakers at annual cybersecurity summit

    The Retail Cyber Intelligence Sharing Center (R-CISC) has announced featured speakers for its Retail Cyber Intelligence Summit, held October 3 - 4, 2017, in Chicago.    Among the keynote speakers are Rich Agostino, chief information security officer at Target Corp, who will lead a session titled, "Stepping into Leadership: Staying Ahead of Today's Threats and the Evolving CISO Role," and Kostas Georgakopoulos, CISO at Procter & Gamble, leading a session on the next evolution of information security.  
  • VF Corp.’s profits climb, raises outlook

    Strong performance across its largest global brands, digital and international divisions lifted VF Corp.'s profits in the second quarter.    For the quarter ended July 1, VF Corp.’s revenue increased 2% to $2.4 billion, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.289 million. While earnings per share dropped 11% to 29 cents, this still beat analyst expectations of 28 cents.   The company’s direct-to-consumer division’s revenue increased 13%. Digital revenue jumped by 34%.
  • Under Armour taps former Aldo CEO for key role amid management changes

    Under Armour founder and CEO Kevin Plank is stepping back from his role as president.   The sporting goods company announced that retail veteran Patrik Frisk will become president and COO, effective July 10. He will have responsibility for the company's go-to-market strategy and the successful execution of its long-term growth plan and report directly to Kevin Plank, who has also held the title of president since 2010.  
  • Outdoor lifestyle brand makes exec appointments

    Timberland has made yet another executive appointment to support its growth strategies.   The company named footwear industry veteran Tracy Smith as VP and general manager of Timberland North America. In this role, he will lead the strategic vision and operations of Timberland’s wholesale and direct to consumer businesses in North America, with responsibility for strategy, merchandising, sales, marketing and operations.  
  • VF Corp. CIO to retire

    VF Corp. is getting a new technology leader.   Martin Schneider, the company’s VP and CIO will retire at the end of 2017. Sandra Harris, VP, global business technology, will succeed Schneider as VP and CIO, effective Jan. 1, 2018. Harris also has been appointed to VF’s senior leadership team.
