  • Liberty Interactive to launch QVC Group tracking stock

    West Chester, Pa. - Liberty Interactive Corporation plans to create a QVC Group tracking stock as part of a recapitalization of the Liberty Interactive Group tracking stock. The QVC Group class of common stock will track the value of QVC, Inc. and Liberty's approximate 38% interest in HSN, Inc., along with cash and certain liabilities.

  • CashStar appoints new CEO

    CashStar, a digital gifting company, has named Ben Kaplan as the company’s president and CEO. In addition to his role as president and CEO, Kaplan remains a member of the company’s board of directors, to which he was appointed in August when he joined CashStar as COO.

  • QVC makes executive appointment

    QVC has appointed Bob Spieth as executive VP of QVC's customer and business services.     He will oversee supply chain, customer service and experience, operations strategy, and corporate real estate and workplace services for both QVC and zulily businesses, with the exception of zulily's corporate facilities.    Spieth joined zulily in 2013 as COO. Prior to zulily, he held several leadership roles with OHL, one of the world's largest third-party logistics companies  
  • QVC promotes exec to SVP, IT global services

    West Chester, Pa. – QVC has promoted John Cowan to the position of senior VP, information technology global services. Cowan was most recently VP global systems & initiatives.

    Since joining in QVC in 1994, Cowan has held positions of increasing responsibility, including VP, business strategy and technology integration, and VP of business technology. He also played a key role in the start-up of QVC in Germany and Japan, and recently assisted QVC Italy in deploying a new systems release in September 2012.

  • QVC makes executive appointments

    West Chester, Pa. -- QVC promoted Alex Miller to the position of senior VP of digital commerce and Dave Caputo to the position of senior VP of TV production and operations.

    Miller will now be responsible for the customer experience across QVC's web, mobile, tablet and social platforms.

  • QVC reshuffles executive leadership

    WEST CHESTER, Pa. — QVC is eyeing an increase in growth opportunities following the recent promotions of two key executives. 

    The company has promoted Alex Miller to the position of SVP of digital commerce and Dave Caputo to the position of SVP of TV production and operations.  . 

    Miller, who will continue to report to Mary Campbell, SVP of multichannel platforms, will now be responsible for the customer experience across QVC's web, mobile, tablet and social platforms.  

  • QVC launches a second channel

    WEST CHESTER, Pa. — Leading video and e-commerce retailer QVC has launched a second broadcast channel, QVC Plus. QVC Plus will maintain the QVC brand and television experience including shows, exclusive products and program hosts, airing on a three-hour delay of QVC's current live broadcast.

  • Amazon.com tops Temkin Web Experience Ratings

    Waban, Mass. – Amazon.com was the top-ranked company across 19 industries in the 2013 Web Experience Ratings from Temkin Group. Amazon.com had a score of 77%, almost 21 percentage points higher than the retail industry average.

    Other retailers in the top 10 included eBay, tied for fifth place at 70%, and QVC, tied for eighth place at 69%. Taco Bell and Kmart earned ratings that were at least 15 points below the retail industry average. Old Navy was the only retailer to have a double-digit score increase from last year.
