  • Report – Alibaba security flaw potentially exposes user info to hackers

    Hangzhou, China – A security flaw in AliExpress, an online marketplace that allows international consumers to make purchases on the Alibaba e-commerce platform, reportedly could have exposed personal information of millions of users to hackers. According to CNBC, Israeli security AppSec Labs discovered the flaw, which would have allowed hackers to alter orders and also gain access to customer personal and financial data, not including credit card numbers.  
  • Report: Wal-Mart CEO says 10% of mobile orders are in-store


    Bentonville, Ark.– While some retailers worry about mobile “showrooming” damaging in-store sales, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. welcomes brick-and-mortar shoppers with mobile devices. In an interview with CNBC, Wal-Mart CEO Doug McMillon said 10% of Wal-Mart’s mobile orders come from customers inside its stores.

    Arts and Crafts retailer A.C. Moore launched its inaugural campaign to benefit the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation with a program involving all its stores.

    The company’s 140 locations will serve as official drop off locations for the program with every toy donated going to a child in the local community. In addition, the company has pledged to donate 25,000 toys and is asking its customers to help double the donation with an additional 25,000 toys to provide a total of 50,000 toys to kids this holiday season.

  • Overstock allows customers to shop directly from their TVs via Delivery Agent

    New York -- Delivery Agent announced a deal with online retailer Overstock that will enable consumers with Smart TV and connected device homes to shop for items on Overstock directly from their television via Delivery Agent's ShopTV t-commerce platform.

    Running now through Oct. 15, the "Overstocktober" campaign will enable viewers to buy products directly from Overstock television commercials.

  • Overstock launches first TV commerce campaign

    Overstock has enlisted Delivery Agent for its first TV commerce campaign, called "Overstocktober," which will enable viewers from now through Oct. 15 to purchase products directly from Overstock television commercials.

    The online retailer is leveraging Delivery Agent’s ShopTV t-commerce platform so shoppers with Smart TVs and connected device homes can purchase items on e-retailer’s site directly from their television.
