  • Jet.com shuts down 'cash-back' rewards program

    The Jet Anywhere rewards program is preparing for its final descent.   As of May 1, Jet.com is pulling the plug on a program that rewards consumers for shopping on its retail portal. As shoppers enter the Jet Anywhere e-commerce portal, they can click through and shop at more than 600 retail partners, including Foot Locker, Land’s End, Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor and Bloomingdales, among others.

  • Specialty retailer names new CEO

    Land’s End has appointed a seasoned fashion and luggage veteran as its next chief executive.    The apparel retailer named Jerome Griffith to be its next CEO, effective March 6, 2017. Griffith most recently served as president and CEO of upscale luggage brand Tumi Holdings from 2009 until its sale in August 2016 to Samsonite International. He will also join the Lands’ End board of directors.  
  • Apparel retailer searching for a new CEO

    As it turns out, high-fashion and Lands’ End weren’t perfect together.      Less than two years after she took the reins of Lands’ End, Federica Marchionni has stepped down as CEO. Two current Lands’ End executives—James Gooch, executive VP, COO and CFO, and Joseph Boitano, executive VP and chief merchandising and design officer—were named as interim co-CEOs, effective September 26, while the company searches for a permanent replacement.

  • Salesforce becomes e-commerce power with Demandware purchase

    The e-commerce landscape just shifted with the announcement Salesforce will purchase Demandware for $2.8 billion.
     
    Demandware’s recently enhanced flagship Commerce Cloud platform is one of the leading e-commerce solutions on the market. Notable retail Demandware users include Lands’ End, Marks & Spencer, Urban Decay, and True Religion. According to figures released by IHL in December 2015, Demandware is the number two retail SaaS company by installed revenue, trailing only Microsoft.
     

  • The award for best online customer service goes to…

    When it comes to providing online customer service, Land’s End is the one to beat.

    StellaService, an independent company that measures the customer service performance of online businesses, recognized Lands' End with the 2016 StellaService Elite Award for exceptional customer service.

    StellaService cited Lands' End for excelling in phone, chat and email, with a phone response time of less than 45 seconds.
