  • Macy’s to open 450 in-store Finish Line shops

    Cincinnati -- Macy's Inc. announced on Friday that Finish Line Inc. would be the department store retailer’s exclusive athletic footwear partner, opening in-store shops in more than 450 Macy’s stores nationwide. The merchandise will also be available online at macys.com.

    Under the agreement, Finish Line will be Macy’s exclusive partner for men’s, women’s and kids athletic footwear and Macy’s will be the exclusive host for Finish Line-branded in-store shops.

  • Crazy 8 to open at Arizona Mills this fall

    Tempe, Ariz. -- Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group said that Arizona Mills will continue to expand its retail mix this October with the opening of Crazy 8.

    Crazy 8, a concept from The Gymboree Corp., will be located across from J.C. Penney. Other retail offerings include Last Call by Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, H&M, Forever 21, Kenneth Cole Company Store, American Eagle Outfitters, G by Guess, 2b Bebe and more.

  • Report: Disney shops to open in J.C. Penney

    New York -- Disney has joined the roster of brands that will be setting up shop in J.C. Penney Co., with Disney children’s boutiques opening in Penney stores next fall, Women’s Wear Daily reported.

    The in-store boutiques will feature products designed and sourced by Disney Consumer Products exclusively for J.C. Penney’s as well as Disney stores and theme parts, according to the report.

    Orlando, Fla. -- The nation’s chain retailers lead the nation when it comes to commercial solar energy use, according to a report released Wednesday by the Solar Energy Industries Association and Vote Solar Initiative advocacy group.

  • Report: Michael Francis going to Gap

    New York -- Michael Francis, who was ousted as president of J.C. Penney Co. in June, is going to Gap Inc., according to Ad Age.

    Francis will serve as a marketing creative advisor for Gap, and join the chain in the advisory role on Sept. 16, the report said.

  • iFixandRepair to open at Willow Grove Park

    Willow Grove, Pa. -- Philadelphia-based Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust said that iFixandRepair will join its Willow Grove Park, Pa., property this fall.

    The 1,077-sq.-ft. store joins other Willow Grove Park wireless electronics retailers such as AT&T, Best Buy Mobile, RadioShack, Sprint Nextel, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless.

    NEW YORK — Popular women's magazine Cosmopolitan is leveraging its brand in the retail space by launching its first-ever fashion collection at JCPenney.  The collection includes lingerie, sleepwear, footwear and handbags, available now exclusively in more than 600 JCPenney stores nationwide, as well as on JCP.com.
