  • New tenant specialist joins Mid-America

    Retail tenant specialist Jack Gray has joined Mid-America Real Estate’s Minnesota operation. He will be representing clients that include Starbucks, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Mills Fleet Farm.   Gray arrives at Mid-America from an internship on Cushman & Wakefield Northmarq’s industrial brokerage team.   Gray is a recent graduate of University of St. Thomas, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in marketing.  
  • Mills Fleet Farm names new CEO

    Mills Fleet Farm has ended its hunt for a CEO.   The Midwest retailer announced the appointment of Derick Prelle as president and CEO succeeding Wayne Sales, who has been serving as interim chief since January 2017. Sales was given the position following the departure of Duncan MacNaugton, who left to become president and COO of Family Dollar.   
  • Former Walmart executive joins Dollar Tree management team

    Dollar Tree has appointed Duncan Mac Naughton as president and COO of its Family Dollar subsidiary.   Mac Naughton, 54, most recently served as CEO of Mills Fleet Farm. He has held numerous leadership roles at Wal-Mart Stores, including chief merchandising and marketing officer of Wal-Mart U.S. from 2011 to 2014, executive VP of consumables health and wellness and Walmart.com from 2010 to 2011, and chief merchandising officer of Wal-Mart Canada from 2009 to 2010.  
  • Former Walmart exec to be new CEO at Mills Fleet Farm

    The former chief merchandising and marketing officer at Walmart has joined a Midwestern chain of farm and home stores as its new CEO.

    Mills Fleet Farm announced that former Walmart executive and Wisconsin native Duncan Mac Naughton will assume the role of CEO of the company now that it has been acquired by KKR, a global investment firm.
