  • Trend Talk

Chain Store Age talked with Michael Puline, senior VP of leasing, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, for DLC Management Corp., about trends, technology, and projects on the board.

[quote-from-article] If you could isolate five current trends in retail real estate, what would they be?
    Here are my top five:

  • Mid-America Real Estate handles sale of Chicago-area center

Chicago - Mid-America Real Estate Corp.’s Investment Sales team recently brokered the sale of Randhurst Village in the Chicago suburb of Mount Prospect. Tarrytown, New York-based DLC Management Corp. purchased the 1,009,937-sq.-ft. regional power and lifestyle center.

Randhurst Village national tenants include Costco, Home Depot, Jewel-Osco, AMC Theaters, Carson Pirie Scott, Bed Bath & Beyond, Sports Authority, TJ Maxx, Old Navy, PetSmart and World Market.

  • DLC Management partners with LOC Card for customer loyalty

Tarrytown, N.Y. -- DLC Management Corporation, a national owner and operator of open-air shopping centers, announced its new partnership with LOC Card, a universal card that supports merchants’ existing loyalty programs.

With LOC Card, consumers can now use one card across all participating merchants at their preferred DLC shopping center to access and engage with each merchant’s loyalty program. The LOC Card replaces that key ring full of loyalty card key tags and streamlines the process, saving time at the register.

  • New stores coming to Fremaux Town Center

Covington, La. - Stirling Properties and CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. are announcing 12 new tenants coming to Fremaux Town Center in Slidell, Louisiana. Anchored by a 128,000-sq.-ft. Dillard's, the second phase of this development will include approximately 285,000-sq.-ft. of additional retail space, including previously announced tenants Red Robin, Zales, Francesca’s and Aveda.

Construction is moving along as scheduled with a planned opening of Phase II in October 2015.

  • Toy industry names new leader

The U.S. Toy Industry Association has a new CEO who brings a unique perspective to an organization whose members account for more than 90% of U.S. toy sales.

Stephen J. Pasierb will join the U.S. Toy Industry Association (TIA) at the end of April as president and CEO. He succeed current President and CEO Carter Keithley who is retiring and will be responsible for leading the growth, development, and oversight of TIA.

  • Something for everyone

Open-air centers go far beyond shopping

  • DLC Management promotes leasing execs

Tarrytown, N.Y. -- DLC Management Corporation announced the promotions of Adam Greenberg and Heather Moon from associate directors of leasing to directors of leasing for their respective regions.

According to DLC, both Greenberg and Moon have demonstrated strong deal-making skills through the number of deals they have completed in any given year, problem-solving for key spaces/vacancies, and the execution of overall property business plans.

  • DLC Management Corp. acquires The Shoppes At South Hills

Poughkeepsie, New York - DLC Management Corporation announced its latest acquisition: The Shoppes at South Hills, a 518,000-sq.-ft. grocery-anchored power center in Poughkeepsie, New York.   This acquisition aligns well with DLC’s operations and features anchor tenants ShopRite, Burlington Coat Factory, Christmas Tree Shop, Hobby Lobby and Kmart.
