  • Clinique prepares to expand in North America

    NEW YORK — Cosmetic brand Clinique has promoted Jean-Christophe Jourde to the newly created position of SVP and GM of North America. Jourde will be responsible for driving sales and market share growth for the brand in the region and will report to Ricardo Quintero, SVP and global GM of market development. 

  • HSA Commercial breaks ground on adaptive reuse retail development

    Milwaukee -- Chicago-based HSA Commercial joined leaders from the City of Wauwatosa to celebrate the groundbreaking of Phase I of The Mayfair Collection, a large-scale, mixed-use development at Highway 45 and Burleigh Street in suburban Milwaukee.

    Phase I of the project will consist of adaptively repurposing functionally obsolete warehouse buildings along Highway 45 into new, contemporary retail environments.

  • Jones Lang LaSalle brokers sales of Bethesda Walk

    Atlanta -- Jones Lang LaSalle’s Capital Markets announced that the firm has closed the sale of Bethesda Walk in the Lawrenceville suburb of Atlanta, on behalf of DLC Management Corp., Tarrytown, N.Y.

    Solon Mack Real Estate purchased the 68,271-sq.-ft. shopping center, which is anchored by a 44,271-sq.-ft. Walmart Neighborhood Market that opened in mid-2012.

    Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

     

  • Estee Lauder CEO named to Francesca's board

    HOUSTON, — Apparel and accessories retailer Francesca's Holdings has named Richard Kunes as an independent director to its board of directors, effective Feb. 25, 2013.

    Since August 2012, Kunes has served as EVP and senior advisor to the CEO at The Estee Lauder Companies, Inc. Prior to that, he served for 12 years as EVP and CFO. Before being appointed CFO, Kunes served in several financial management positions at Estee Lauder including corporate controller.

  • Former Estee Lauder exec named CMO at Murad

    EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Former Estee Lauder executive Suzanne Dawson has joined high-end skincare brand Murad as its new CMO. Dawson will oversee all global marketing, including brand development, advertising, public relations, creative and education for products, services and new market opportunities. She will report to GM Richard Murad.

  • DRA Advisors acquires Streets of Brentwood

    Dallas -- SRS Real Estate Partners said it represented Brentwood Specialty Center, LLC in the sale of The Streets of Brentwood to a partnership between New York City-based DRA Advisors and RED Development out of Kansas City.
