  • The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf names VP of store development

    Los Angeles -- The Coffee Bean & Tea Left said that Bill Robards has joined the company as VP of store development. He will be responsible for delivering upon the brand's extensive growth and expansion plans in the United States.

  • Dunkin’ Donuts plans 13 stores in Oklahoma City

    Canton. Mass. – Dunkin’ Donuts has signed a multi-unit store development agreement with existing franchise group, OKD Holdings, to develop 13 new restaurants throughout Oklahoma City. The first of the planned restaurants will open in 2015.

    Together, this team led by second generation Dunkin' Donuts franchisee Misha Goli and his partners will manage and oversee the company's daily operations for each restaurant. Goli currently owns four restaurants throughout Oklahoma City.

  • Urstadt Biddle acquires two New Jersey shopping centers

    Greenwich, Conn. — Urstadt Biddle Properties Inc. has acquired two shopping centers in New Jersey: Boonton A&P Center in Boonton and Bloomfield A&P Center in Bloomfield.

    The company paid $18.4 million, subject to an existing $7.8 million mortgage, for the 63,000-sq.-ft. Boonton A&P Center. Constructed in 1999, the center features a 49,463-sq.-ft. A&P plus Dunkin’ donuts, Chase Bank, Subway, Supercuts and Sprint. More than 90% of the tenants are national or regional names.

  • Edwards Realty acquires North & Harlem Plaza

    Oak Park, Ill. — Edwards Realty Company has acquired the North & Harlem Plaza in Oak Park, Ill., for $4.7 million, according to Mid-America Real Estate, which represented the seller, Hudson Advisors LLC, in the transaction.

    The 23,320-sq.-ft. center features Dunkin’ Donuts, The UPS Store, Check‘n Go, American Mattress and Batteries Plus.

  • Dunkin’ Donuts launches social photo contest

    Canton, Mass. – Dunkin’ Donuts has launched its “HoliDDay Fashions” contest, inviting people to post photos of themselves in their holiday clothing and costumes on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Beginning Dec. 12 and continuing through Dec. 18, customers can submit their photos on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the special hashtag #HoliDDayFashions.

    On Dec. 20, Dunkin' Donuts will announce a total of five winners to receive a prize pack. No purchase is required.

    Los Angeles -- John Dawson has been named president and CEO of coffee and tea retailer Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, charged with accelerating the chain’s plans for global growth.

  • MarineMax names Denny’s exec to board

    Clearwater, Fla. – Recreational boat retailer MarineMax has named Frances Allen, executive VP and chief brand officer for Denny’s Corporation, to its board of directors. Prior to joining Denny’s, Allen was chief marketing officer for Dunkin Donuts. Her prior roles also include managing marketing efforts at Sony Ericsson Mobil Communications, Pepsi-Cola North America and Frito-Lay.

  • Dunkin’ Donuts plans 12 new Detroit-area stores

    Canton, Mass. – Dunkin’ Donuts has signed a multi-unit store development agreement with three existing franchise groups to develop 12 new restaurants in Detroit during the next several years. Existing franchise group Coffee Ventures, LLC plans to develop seven restaurants in suburban Detroit between 2014 and 2017, while existing Detroit franchisees Tarun and Falguni Raval plan to develop one restaurant in Detroit in 2014 and existing Detroit franchisees Nick and Masoud Shango plan to develop four restaurants in Detroit between 2014 and 2016.
