    For millennial shoppers, Victoria’s Secret is tops, followed by Sephora and Nike.   That’s according to a report from Conde Nast Inc. and Goldman Sachs Group Inc., which surveyed the popularity of brands among millennial shoppers, reported Bloomberg.   
  • Shopping center giant and media powerhouse team up

    There is a new lifestyle publication in circulation — and it’s the product of two diverse companies.

    Real estate developer Simon has joined with media company Conde Nast to produce a 98-page publication – Simon Magazine – designed to provide readers with the latest must-haves and must-dos, from fashion and beauty to dining and travel. It’s the first time Conde Nast has worked with a brand to create custom editorial content on such a wide scale.

  • Report: Apple redesigning stores to make them more suitable for Apple Watch

    New York -- Jonathan Ive, senior VP of design at Apple, is working on a redesign of Apple stores to make them feel more like a “natural” environment for the forthcoming Apple Watch, according to an article in The New Yorker.

    “Ive has begun to work with (Angela) Ahrendts, Apple’s senior VP of retail, on a redesign-as yet unannounced-of the Apple Stores,” author Ian Parker writes in the article.

    Apple is reportedly planning an overhaul of its once ground-breaking retail stores.

    When Apple first opened retail stores 13 years ago, it set out to change retailing in everything from the product displays to the wireless point-of-sale devices and its Genius Bar tech support. The approach was innovative and widely successful.

  • Express launches mobile promotion with GQ

    Columbus, Ohio – Express Inc. will be using Rich Media Messaging (RMM) technology from Iris Mobile to drive the fashion retailer’s seasonal “Back-to-Business” sweepstakes campaign with GQ Magazine. A combination of both a participant-based sweepstakes and a voting-based contest, this campaign will award one emerging startup entrepreneur with a grant from Express based on public votes.

  • Maybelline welcomes back supermodel Adriana Lima

    Maybelline New York is rolling out the welcome wagon for Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima, who served as global spokesperson once before, from 2003-2009.

    Lima rejoins current spokeswomen Christy Turlington, Emily DiDonato, Jourdan Dunn and Marloes Horst.  

  • Spanx taps new CEO

    Spanx has named Jan Singer as CEO, reporting to founder and owner of the company, Sara Blakely.

    Interim CEO Gregg Ribatt will assist Singer through a transition period, and then continue to serve on the company’s board of advisers. Singer is expected to join the company officially in early July.
