Colliers tapped as retail leasing partner for 125-acre Miramar Cove development
A retail leasing firm has been selected to fill the Miramar Cove mixed-use project under development in South Florida.
Sunbeam Development Corporation will partner with Colliers to curate a mix of shops, restaurants and entertainment concepts for the 125-acre property located in Miramar, Fla., west of Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Miramar Cove broke ground in May 2026, and will deliver approximately 400,000 square feet of retail, dining and entertainment space anchored by a 35,000-square-foot grocer.
The retail space will sit alongside 2,874 residences with a private beach club, 125,000 square feet of Class A office, a 185-key full-service hotel, a boardwalk, and more than 40 acres of parks and trails. At the center of the development is the 5.5-acre translucent blue water cove by Blue Mar Basin, creating a waterfront dining and gathering district.

Miramar Cave is being built by Fort Lauderdale-based Stiles Corporation. The first phase of the development is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2028.

Colliers says the project will leverage its Orlando-based mixed-use retail team and its South Florida retail team, backed by the firm’s national platform and retailer relationships.
“Miramar Cove represents a rare opportunity to curate a truly transformational mixed-use destination in South Florida,” said Colliers senior VP Alexie Fonseca. “Our leasing strategy will focus on bringing together best-in-class retail, dining, entertainment, wellness and experiential concepts that complement the project’s extraordinary waterfront setting and create a destination with energy from morning through evening.”
The project is adjacent to Sunbeam's 500-acre Miramar Park of Commerce, one of South Florida's premier business hubs, home to more than 15,000 employees across 165 national and international companies. Miramar Cove also sits minutes from the 65,000-seat Hard Rock Stadium, which hosts more than 100 major events annually and is home to the Miami Dolphins.
