Chicken Salad Chick to make New York debut with multi-unit expansion
Chicken Salad Chick is set to begin its expansion in one of America’s most-populated states.
The fast-casual chicken salad chain will open its first restaurant in New York on Sept. 22 at The Shops at Village Plaza shopping center in Clifton Park, a northern suburb of Albany. The debut in New York will bring Chicken Salad Chick’s footprint to 27 states.
The Clifton Park location is the first restaurant to open under a 25-unit franchise agreement announced in May that will bring Chicken Salad Chick to the Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and the Upper Hudson Valley areas across New York. The agreement represents the chain's largest franchise development deal to date.
In the first quarter of 2026, Chicken Salad Chick debuted in several key markets, including Las Vegas, Philadelphia and Phoenix. The chain has over 300 locations in its development pipeline.

Founded in Auburn, Ala., in 2008, Chicken Salad Chick operates nearly 350 locations nationwide. The chain is known for its dozen-plus variety of made-from-scratch chicken salad flavors, fresh sides, soups, signature sandwiches and desserts.
In 2025, Chicken Salad Chick celebrated a record year, awarding nearly 100 new franchise restaurant deals and opening 42 locations across 14 states.
