  • Top exec at Office Depot to leave

    The president of Office Depot’s North American operations is stepping down.   Marc Crosby is leaving the company “to pursue other opportunities,” according to the Sun Sentinel, which cited a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. No date was given for his departure.  
  • Nicole Beck joins H.J. Martin as project coordinator

    Nicole Beck, a skilled project management specialist, has joined H.J. Martin and Son as a project coordinator within the company’s fixtures division. In that role, she oversees the installation of functional, appealing solutions for retailers.  
  • Apparel giant taps former Dick’s Sporting Goods exec as finance chief

    Gap Inc. has appointed Teri List-Stoll as executive VP and CFO, effective January 17, 2017.   List-Stoll will succeed Sabrina Simmons, whose departure was previously announced. Simmons will shift into an advisory role through the end of the company’s fiscal year.     Most recently, List-Stoll held the position of executive VP and CFO for Dick’s Sporting Goods. She left Dick’s in August 2016.     
  • Neiman Marcus loses key executive

    The CFO of Neiman Marcus has resigned after 15 months on the job.   Donald Grimes has resigned as COO and CFO of the luxury retailer, effective immediately. No reason was given for his departure. But in an SEC filing, the company said Grimes's resignation "was not the result of any disagreement regarding any matter" related to its "operations, policies or practices."   Grimes joined Neiman Marcus in June 2015, after a seven-year stint at Wolverine World Wide where he was CFO. 
  • Alex and Ani makes exec appointment

    Alex and Ani has promoted Cindy DiPietrantonio to president of the company.           DiPietrantonio joined the jewelry and lifestyle brand in July 2016 as interim COO, and her transition to president has happened in “a very natural, organic way,” the company said.  
  • Toys ‘R’ Us taps Priceline.com vet for digital engineering

    In a move to spur its digital transformation, Toys “R” Us has appointed Amit Poddar to head up its digital engineering team.   Poddar is joining the toy retailer as senior VP, chief software architect. The addition is the latest strategic move within the company’s massive digital transformation, a project that is focused on integrating technology into every part of the business, and creating a more customer-centric operation.   
  • New York & Co. names Sears, Ann Taylor vet to head up marketing and online

    New York & Company appointed Michelle Pearlman as executive VP, e-commerce and chief marketing officer.   Pearlman, a member of the company’s board of directors since 2011, has resigned from her duties as a director to lead the company’s omnichannel strategy. In her new role, she will be responsible for the apparel retailer’s e-commerce business, as well as all marketing and visual aspects of the chain’s integrated omnichannel strategy.  
  • Lumber Liquidators names a new CEO

    Lumber Liquidators has not had much luck getting its top executives to stick around as of late.   The company's chief compliance officer, Ray Cotton, quietly resigned in May of 2015.   Then, in November, it elected John Presley as chief executive -- the second time that year it had to change CEOs.
