C-Suite Moves: June update

Here are the major C-suite changes that occurred in June, in the order they were announced. (All changes have already taken effect unless otherwise noted.)

  • Sebastian Picardo plans to step down as president and CEO of Canada’s luxury department store retailer, Holt Renfrew, effective Sept. 30, 2025. He has served in the role since 2020. The company said an active global search is underway for its new president and CEO with final candidates being reviewed.
  • The CFO of Ulta Beauty, Paula Oyibo, departed the beauty powerhouse after nearly six years. Ulta appointed insider Chris Lialios as interim finance head while it searches for a permanent successor.
  • Ahold Delhaize USA tapped longtime employee Jason Wilson as CFO. Previously, he served as senior VP of finance for Food Lion for more than seven and a half years.
  • Women’s apparel retailer J.Jill appointed Courtney O'Connor as senior VP and chief merchandising officer. Most recently, she served as chief merchandising officer for nearly three years at Club Monaco.
  • Tim Langley-Hawthorne was named chief technology officer of Love’s Travel Stops. He joined the convenience store retailer from rental car giant Hertz, where he had served as chief information officer since November 2021

  • Tailored Brands, parent company of Men's Wearhouse and Jos. A. Bank, named John Tighe as CEO, effective Aug. 5. Peter Sachse will transition from his current role as CEO to become executive chairman of the company’s board. Before joining Tailored Brands in 2021, Tighe served as president of Peerless Clothing.
  • Fabletics announced the expansion of Meera Bhatia’s role from chief operating officer to Fabletics president and COO, and the promotion of Carly Gomez to chief marketing officer.
  • Quick-serve restaurant giant Yum! Brands Inc. named Chris Turner to serve as CEO, effective Oct. 1. He has served as Yum’s CFO since 2019, and his role was expanded to include chief franchise officer in 2024.
  • Vera Bradley announced that CEO Jacqueline Ardrey is leaving, and the board has launched a national search for her replacement. Ardrey will remain with the company to aid in the transition until the end of July.
  • “Hands-free” footwear brand Kizik appointed Gareth Hosford as CEO. He has more than two decades of experience at footwear giants Nike and Converse, as well as at apparel start-up Omorpho.
