  • Nordstrom opens in Nashville

    Seattle -- Nordstrom opened the doors to its newest store, in Nashville, Tenn.

    The 149,000-sq.-ft. store is located in The Mall at Green Hills.
     

  • Citi Trends to open two Pa., locations

    New York City -- Centro Properties Group US announced the recent lease executions of two Citi Trends locations. A 13,500-sq.-ft. lease has been executed at Lehigh Shopping Center, in Bethlehem, Pa., and a 12,000-sq.-ft. location will open at Kline Plaza, located in Harrisburg, Pa.

    Both Lehigh Shopping Center and Kline Plaza are owned by Centro Properties, based in New York City.
     

  • Chipotle debuts new restaurant concept

    New York City -- Chipotle Mexican Grill has opened a new format, called ShopHouse Southeast Asian Kitchen, in Washington, D.C.’s, DuPont Circle neighborhood.

    The Asian-themed eatery uses the same set-up as the company’s namesake restaurants, with customers able to customize the food offerings.
     

  • LaVida Massage opens new California center, names master franchisee

    Placentia, Calif. -- LaVida Massage, a Commerce, Mich.-based massage and wellness center, announced the opening of a new LaVida location in California, as well as the addition of a new master franchisee in southern California.

    The new 3,700-sq.-ft. center, located in Placentia, is slated to open Sept. 19.

    New master franchisee Deby Goodman will own and manage the newest store, as well as will be responsible for building new LaVida operations specific to the southern California market.
     

  • City Sports expands with new interactive store

    Boston -- City Sports will open its 19th store, in Wellesley, Mass., during the last week of September. The location features a dramatic façade, with a wraparound steel awning and tall windows that showcase the interior design and product assortment. Inside, an interactive electronics room offers shoppers the use of in-store iPads to access information about products on the company's website as well as the ability to wear-test headphones

  • Tiffany to shine in SoHo

    NEW YORK — Tiffany & Co. said Thursday it plans to open a store in New York’s SoHo neighborhood in September 2012.

    The 7,000-sq.-ft. store will occupy a space that combines two locations -- 97 Greene Street and 106 Wooster Street. 

    The 2012 opening corresponds to Tiffany’s 175th anniversary of its founding on Lower Broadway in the 1850s.

  • Barnes & Noble among bidders buying Borders’ intellectual property

    New York City -- Barnes & Noble has bought some of Borders Group’s intellectual property along with other bidders, Crain’s New York reported.

    According to Hilco Trading, the liquidation company handling the sale, multiple bidders, including Barnes & Noble, have agreed to buy $15.8 million of Borders' intellectual property, Craine’s said. The properties include a global portfolio of trademarks; Borders, Waldenbooks and Brentano's trade names; Internet domain names and the Borders.com e-commerce website.

  • Fameco takes on two new property management assignments

    Plymouth Meeting, Pa. -- Fameco Real Estate, L.P. said that its property management division, Fameco Management Services, has been awarded two new assignments from Titanium Real Estate Advisors totaling 88,000 sq. ft.

    Designers Court is a 78,000-sq.-ft. shopping center located in Marlton, N.J., anchored by Atlas Interior Home Fashions, Kroungold’s Furniture, Mixellaneous, ABC Discount Appliances and Toppers Salon and Health Spa.
