  • Tag Heuer opens flagship in Aventura Mall

    Springfield, N.J. -- Luxury watch maker Tag Heuer opened its second North American flagship boutique, an 800-sq.-ft. space in Aventura Mall, Aventura, Fla.

    The store is designed as a "lifestyle lounge" and is adorned with Tag Heuer accessories that range from vintage stainless steel cufflinks to the brand's technologically advanced eyewear and communication devices.

  • Winn-Dixie CEO to step down

    Jacksonville, Fla. -- Winn-Dixie said Friday that its CEO Peter Lynch will step down, as the supermarket chain merges with Bi-Lo LLC. Current Bi-Lo chairman Randall Onstead will replace Lynch as CEO.

    Lynch said in a letter to employees that he will remain for another 60 to 120 days to assist in the transition.

    Bi-Lo purchased Winn-Dixie for $560 million in December.
     

  • City Sports to relocate to bigger space in Ardmore, Pa.

    Boston -- City Sports plans to relocate its store in Suburban Square, Ardmore, Pa., into the space previously occupied by Talbots. The new location, at 8,000 sq. ft., will accommodate upgrades planned for a refreshed and fully integrated shopping experience, including the brand's new women's concept.

  • Albertsons to close four stores

    Boise, Idaho -- Albertsons LLC plans to close four underperforming stores: one in Arizona, one in Louisiana and two in Texas.

    The closings will leave Albertsons with 205 stores in the Southwest and the South.

  • Multiple store openings at Hammond Square Shopping Center

    Hammond, La. -- Covington, La.-based Stirling Properties announced the addition of Cato and Bellagio Salon & Spa to its tenant lineup at Hammond Square Shopping Center, located in Hammond, La. 

    Cato will open its second Hammond store in spring 2012 across from Merle Norman and Purse Bag Pattie’s. Bellagio Salon and Spa is slated to open its first location in March/April 2012 next door to Purse Bag Pattie’s. The new store is 2,554 sq. ft. and will offer full-service spa treatments.

  • CBL and Horizon Group to develop Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta

    Woodstock, Ga. -- Chattanooga, Tenn.-based CBL & Associates Properties and Norton Shores, Mich.-based Horizon Group Properties announced a 75/25 joint venture to develop The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta in Atlanta (Woodstock), Ga.

  • Mid-America Real Estate names new partners

    Oakbrook Terrace, Ill. -- Mid-America Real Estate Corp. announced the promotions of two senior VPs to partners.

    Andy Bulson is responsible for the management of Mid-America’s Suburban Tenant Representation Team, representing numerous national retailers throughout the Chicagoland area. Dan Tausk oversees Mid-America’s Urban Retail Team, representing both retail landlords and tenants in urban Chicago and its neighborhoods.
