  • Double-digit comps boost Tractor Supply in Q1

    The Brentwood, Tenn.-based farm and ranch retailer saw same-store sales increase 11.5% in the first quarter ended March 31. Net sales increased 22% to $1.02 billion.

    Net income for the quarter was $40.3 million, compared to net income of $18.3 million in the same quarter last year.

  • Kolletti Bambini opens at Malibu Country Mart

    Malibu, Calif. -- Southern California lifestyle center Malibu Country Mart welcomed Kolletti Bambini, a boutique specializing in designer clothing and accessories for children and infants.

    The 630-sq.-ft. boutique opened on April 20.
     
    Malibu County Mart features 90,000 sq. ft. of high-end retail, dining and services housed in an eclectic mix of architectural styles including Mediterranean, modern and rustic influences. 
     

  • NRDC announces new tenants for Northampton Crossings

    Easton, Pa. -- Purchase, N.Y.-based National Realty & Development has announced the opening of Panera Bread at Northampton Crossings, located in Easton, Pa. Panera occupies a 3,860-sq.-ft. drive-thru space.

    PetSmart will open at the center in late spring, with a 12,500-sq.-ft. store. The two new stores join anchor tenants Walmart Supercenter, Kohl’s, Sam’s Club and Regal Cinemas.

    Other recent transactions at the center include Staples and Shoe Show lease renewals.
     

  • Marcus & Millichap names Denver retail exec

    Denver -- Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services announced that Jon Hendrickson has been named associate director of the firm’s National Retail Group in Denver.

    Hendrickson joined Marcus & Millichap’s sales intern program in 2004, became an agent in 2006 and was promoted to senior associate in 2009.
     
     

  • Hanley Investment Group names new exec

    Irvine, Calif. -- Hanley Investment Group Real Estate Advisors said that Jonathan Selznick has joined the company as VP.

    Selznick was most recently a broker with Pacific Commercial Investments in Irvine, Calif., where he advised clients on the acquisition and disposition of retail investment properties.

    PLANO, Texas — JCPenney has made a number of key appointments in the areas of real estate, supply chain, communications, marketing and philanthropy.

  • Sawgrass Mills to break ground on expansion

    Sunrise, Fla. -- Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group announced that Sawgrass Mills, the largest outlet, value retail and entertainment destination in the United States with more than 350 stores, will soon break ground on its newest phase of development to increase the footprint of The Colonnade Outlets at Sawgrass Mills. 

    This milestone also represents the soon-to-be-completed 140,000-sq.-ft. retail expansion of the south side of the property.

  • Glendale Galleria names architects for center renovation

    Glendale, Calif. -- Glendale Galleria, a 1.5-million-sq.-ft. super-regional shopping center announced the architects who will work on the center's grand renovation project. Glendale Galleria is owned and operated by Chicago-based General Growth Properties.
