  • Vestar promotes Jenny Cushing to VP of leasing

    Phoenix -- Vestar announced it has promoted Jenny Cushing to VP of leasing. Based in firm's Phoenix headquarters, Cushing is responsible for the leasing efforts of assets throughout California, Arizona & Nevada.

  • Off-price store to make New York City debut

    The off-price wars are heating up in New York City.

    Saks Fifth Avenue will open its first Saks Off 5th outlet in New York City, in a 32-story office tower at 125 East 57th Street, in March 2016. The store will feature a lobby entrance at street level, which will access two lower level floors.

    “The addition of a new Saks Off 5th store at this strategic location will be a dramatic game changer for 57th Street retail east of Park Avenue,” said Charles S. Cohen, president and CEO of Cohen Brothers Realty Corp., which owns the property.

  • Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls welcomes new retailers

    Macerich announces the recent arrival of several retailers to Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls located in Niagara Falls, New York. New brands include Victoria’s Secret, Kipling, Columbia Sportswear, Mountain Warehouse and Calvin Klein Underwear.

    Niagara Falls recent expansion brings the property size to more than 700,000 sq. ft. with a total of 200 stores and 1,100 additional parking spaces near Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH – making Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls one of the largest outlet malls in the country.

  • Target to debut smaller store format in Manhattan

    Target Corp. is bringing its smaller-sized, urban format to one of lower Manhattan’s trendiest — and wealthiest — neighborhoods.

    The retailer will open an approximately 45,000-sq.-ft. store on Greenwich Street in Tribeca, near Battery Park, a fast-growing and affluent residential area, and the Financial District.

    The two-level store is scheduled to open in October 2016. It is located in a 14-story, 625,000-sq.-ft. mixed-use building, whose landlord is Jack Resnick & Sons.

  • Trademark’s Saddle Creek property brings new retail to Tennessee

    Germantown, Tenn. -- Trademark Property Co. announced Lily Rain will open a 1,600 sq. ft. store at Saddle Creek, in Germantown, Tennessee. The store will be Lily Rain’s first Tennessee location and will open in spring 2016 next to Michael Kors.

  • Victoria’s Secret opens new Nevada store

    Dunbar Commercial, a Henderson, Nevada-based commercial real estate brokerage firm, has secured a 10-year lease on behalf of Victoria’s Secret. Dunbar Commercial principal Bill Dunbar made the announcement.

    The 7,852-sq.-ft. Victoria’s Secret opened Oct. 23 at The District at Green Valley Ranch in Henderson. Dunbar Commercial represented both the tenant and landlord in the transaction.

  • New leases bring Feil's Nassau Mall & Kohl's Plaza to full occupancy

    New York -- The Feil Organization announced the completion of Nassau Mall and Kohl's Plaza complex renovation in Levittown, New York. The renovation consisted of a new façade and re-tenanting the centers, which resulted in four new leases totaling approximately 11,000 sq. ft. and 100% occupancy at both centers.

  • Howard Hughes Corporation announces new lease to be part of the revitalized Seaport District

    New York -- Howard Hughes Corporation announced McNally Jackson Books will open a new location in 2017 at the iconic Seaport District in New York. The independent New York bookstore will set up shop in Schermerhorn Row along the cobblestoned streets of the historic district and bring a new literary experience to the Seaport with a refined and carefully curated selection of books, free interactive event programming, a café with outdoor seating and a family-friendly reading area for children to engage the growing residential community.
