  • Edens selected to revitalize grocery-anchored center with mix of uses

    Edens and Montgomery County Maryland announced the redevelopment of Burtonsville Crossing and the adjacent park-and-ride lot located in Burtonsville, Maryland.

    In 2014, Edens was selected by Montgomery County to develop the adjacent surface parking lot while continuing to provide commuter parking at this strategic location.

  • Brixmor announces anchor repositioning and renovation

    Glendale, Ariz. -- Brixmor Property Group announced that Glendale Galleria, located in Glendale, Arizona, will undergo a comprehensive renovation and will add anchor tenant LA Fitness, a 36,894-sq.-ft. new prototype facility.  

    “With the addition of LA Fitness and plans for a newly renovated center, we will be delivering a substantially improved shopping environment for our customers and retailers at Glendale Galleria,” said Matt Berger, senior VP of leasing for Brixmor Property Group.

  • Simon names location of new development

    Indianapolis – Retail real estate firm Simon has announced the location for its Tulsa Premium Outlets.

    The project will be built in the city of Jenks, Oklahoma. The first phase of the development will be approximately 325,000 sq. ft. and feature 80 to 90 stores. Construction in Jenks is scheduled to start in spring 2016 with an opening in summer 2017.

    Cedar Hill, Texas -- Trademark Property Co. announced that it has broken ground on its multi-million dollar renovation of Hillside Village, formerly Uptown Village at Cedar Hill, located in Cedar Hill, Texas.

  • Celebrity chef to open restaurant at Edens’ Mosaic property

    Washington, D.C. -- Edens announced that Mike Isabella, of Bravo TV’s “Top Chef” fame, will open his Kapnos Kouzina restaurant concept at Mosaic, Edens’ mixed-use development located in Fairfax County, Virginia. The restaurant is slated to open in early 2016.

  • Madison Marquette selected to lease Orlando’s Parc Central

    Orlando, Fla. -- Madison Marquette announced it has been selected to provide leasing services for Parc Central mixed-use development, located in Orlando, Florida. The development is slated for a first quarter 2016 groundbreaking.

    Parc Central will consist of a 29-story high-rise, mixed-use tower featuring 215 luxury residential apartments with rooftop amenities, approximately 15,000 sq. ft. of ground floor retail space and a 30,000-sq.-ft. retail floor located above the parking deck.
     

  • Report: Forever 21 seeks smaller stores, loan

    Los Angeles – Forever 21, known for operating some truly large stores, is reportedly rethinking that strategy.

    According to the Wall Street Journal, the specialty fast-fashion retailer is also in talks to obtain a $150 million load.
