  • Coyote names exec

    Addison, Texas -- Coyote Management said Thursday it has named Jim Adkins senior leasing specialist for the company.

    Adkins will operate out of the company’s Lakeshore Mall in Gainesville, Ga.
     

  • Fameco to lease retail component of St. Joe’s medical center

    Plymouth Meeting, Pa. -- Fameco Real Estate, LP said it has been appointed by St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, in Paterson, N.J., as exclusive leasing agent for the new retail component to be constructed at the St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center and Children’s Hospital campus.

  • The Cheesecake Factory, Forever 21 to open at Mall at Short Hills

    Short Hills, N.J. -- Bloomfield Hills, Mich.-based Taubman Co. announced that The Cheesecake Factory and Forever 21 will open at the company’s Mall at Short Hills, located in Short Hills, N.J.
     
    Cheesecake Factory is slated to open a full-service restaurant, bakery and bar this summer. Forever 21 will open a 40,000+-sq.-ft. store in late 2011.

    The Mall at Short Hills features 160 specialty stores and restaurants along with anchors Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue.

  • Shoe City opens at Puente Hills Town Center

    Rowland Heights, Calif. -- Shoe City has opened a 7,680-sq.-ft. store at Puente Hills Town Center, located in Rowland Heights, Calif.

    The shopping center is owned by Centro Properties Group, based in New York City.

  • RadioShack opens at North Haven Pavilion

    North Haven, Conn. -- Purchase, N.Y.-based National Realty & Development Corp. said that RadioShack has opened for business at North Haven Pavilion, located in North Haven, Conn.

    Target, Sports Authority and Michaels anchor the 274,000-sq.-ft. center.

    RadioShack opened on Jan. 11 and leased a 2,200-sq.-ft. space.

  • Merlin Entertainment to debut attractions in Texas

    Dallas -- X Team International, an international alliance of retail real estate advisors, said Tuesday that Venture Commercial, through its Venturetainment division, assisted with site-selection efforts and completed two leases for global visitor attraction operator Merlin Entertainments Group to bring two of its iconic attraction brands to the Texas market for the first time.

  • Borders stalls bill-paying to remain liquid

    Ann Arbor, Mich. -- Borders Group Inc. said Sunday that payment of some bills due at the end of January is being delayed to help the book seller "maintain liquidity" while trying to complete a restructuring of its debt.

    Last week, the company received a commitment for $550 million in financing from General Electric Capital, subject to conditions that include securing $175 million from other lenders and continuing to close stores.

  • Justice expands at Cafaro malls

    Youngstown, Ohio -- Cafaro Co. said Wednesday that teen retailer Justice is opening new stores at two of the company’s malls -- at Sundusky Mall, in Sandusky, Ohio, and at Kennedy Mall, in Dubuque, Iowa.

    The new stores will open by early May. The Sandusky location will occupy over 4,000 sq. ft. of space, while the store at Kennedy Mall will be just over 3,300 sq. ft.
