  • Brooks Brothers to open at Renaissance at Colony Park

    Ridgeland, Miss. -- Renaissance at Colony Park announced that Brooks Brothers is joining its tenant lineup and is scheduled to open a 7,500+-sq.-ft. store in Ridgeland, Miss., in November. Currently, the nearest Brooks Brothers stores to the Jackson (Miss.) metropolitan area are in New Orleans and Memphis.

    Other recent openings at Renaissance at Colony Park include Another Broken Egg Café and Apricot Lane Boutique. Opening soon are SOMA Intimates and Altar’d State Christian Stores.

  • Former Safeway exec joins commercial brokerage firm

    Former Safeway real estate executive Dan Clayton has joined Denver-based Laramie Company as VP leasing. He previously served as real estate director at Safeway and in his new role will focus on tenant representation and project leasing.

  • Carter's opens at Mira Mesa Mall

    San Diego -- Centro Properties Group US said Tuesday that Carter’s has opened a new store in San Diego.

    The 6,100-sq.-ft. store opened at Mira Mesa Mall, which is owned by New York City-based Centro Properties Group.
     

  • Applebee’s to open at CooperTowne Center

    Somerdale, N.J. -- Purchase, N.Y.-based National Realty & Development Corp. said Tuesday that Applebee’s will open a new restaurant at the 385,000-sq.-ft. CooperTowne Center in Somerdale, N.J.

    Applebee’s will occupy 7,029 sq. ft. of this redevelopment project and will join anchor tenants Walmart Supercenter, Cinemark Theatres and LA Fitness.

  • Dollar Tree opens at Villa Monaco

    Denver -- Centro Properties Group US announced Tuesday that Dollar Tree has opened a new store in Denver.

    The 8,460-sq.-ft. Dollar Tree store opened at Villa Monaco, which is owned by New York City-based Centro Properties Group.

  • Aldi to open first New Hampshire location

    Boston -- WS Development announced that Aldi will open a new store at Stateline Shopping Center, located in Salem, N.H.

    The new store, the grocer’s first in the state, will join a newly opened Lowe’s anchor, as well as Sovereign Bank and NAMCO at the recently redeveloped 232,000-sq.-ft. shopping center.

  • Rx for Ailing Retail?

    Back in late 2009-early 2010, I started seeing an uptick in medical users setting up shop in retail centers. I thought, “This is going to be a trend!” I was convinced we’d be seeing more and more outpatient and urgent care facilities moving in next to the Rite Aids and Ann Taylor Lofts of the world. For some reason, though, this “trend” is not evolving. And, to be honest, that’s a little more than surprising to me; it’s puzzling!

  • Ulta announces two new store openings

    New York City -- Centro Properties Group announced the recent lease execution for two Ulta stores; an 11,000-sq.-ft. store will be joining Lakes Crossing, located in Muskegon, Mich., and a 10,895-sq.-ft. store will open at Florence Square, directly across from Florence Mall in Florence, Ky.

    New York City-based Centro Properties Group owns both shopping centers.
