  • Parmida Home opens at Hill Country Galleria

    Austin, Texas -- Dallas-based home furnishings and accessories retailer Parmida Home said Thursday it has opened a new 10,500-sq.-ft. store in the Hill Country Galleria, located in Bee Caves, Texas, near Austin.

    This is the retailer’s second Texas location and part of Parmida Home’s plan to expand into similar lifestyle centers nationally. 

    Parmida Home is represented by United Commercial Realty.

  • Westfield Old Orchard to launch world-first dining and green specialty food shopping venue

    Skokie, Ill. -- The Westfield Group announced that its Westfield Old Orchard shopping center in Skokie, Ill., will change dramatically with the addition of a culinary-focused dining and green food shopping venue slated to open in summer 2011.

    The new venue replaces the former food court, which closed on Sept. 1 to make way for the new development.

  • Shoe Carnival to open at Village Shoppes at Gainesville

    Gainesville, Ga. -- The Atlanta office of Dallas-based SRS Real Estate Partners said that Shoe Carnival recently opened a 9,165-sq.-ft. store in Gainesville, Ga., in the Village Shoppes at Gainesville.

    Neighboring retailers include Marshalls, Ross Dress for Less, Old Navy and Publix.

    The landlord of the center is Inland US Management, LLC.

  • Golf Galaxy opens at Burlington Square

    Burlington, Mass. -- Centro Properties Group announced that Golf Galaxy has opened a 15,200-sq.-ft. store at Burlington Square, located in Burlington, Mass.

    New York City-based Centro Properties Group is the owner of Burlington Square.

  • Appleton Learning Center to open at Woodway Collection

    Houston -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has leased retail space in Houston at Woodway Collection to Appleton Learning Center.

    Specializing in tutoring services, group classes, student testing and other related services, Appleton Learning Center has leased 2,440 sq. ft. and is slated to open in February 2011.

    The 111,165-sq.-ft. shopping center is anchored by Randalls alongside national retailers such as Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Pearle Vision and Chase Bank.

  • Children’s Place taps Rhys Commercial for Connecticut expansion

    Stamford, Conn. -- Rhys Commercial announced that The Children’s Place has retained it to handle the retailer’s expansion across Connecticut.

    According to RHYS, which is actively seeking out locations in densely populated and well-trafficked markets throughout the state, The Children’s Place generally requires between 4,000 and 4,500 sq. ft. of space. The retailer is looking to open new stores in potential infill markets.

  • Marshalls opens at Springdale Mall

    Mobile, Ala. -- Centro Properties Group announced that Marshalls has opened a 26,000-sq.-ft. store at Springdale Mall, located in Mobile, Ala.

    New York City-based Centro Properties Group is the owner of Springdale Mall.

  • Elite Game Speed opens in South Tampa

    Tampa, Fla. -- Tampa, Fla.-based RMC Property Management Group announced that athlete training facility Elite Game Speed has opened a 9,000-sq.-ft. facility in South Tampa, Fla.

    The space was previously occupied by Creative Loafing, and its new use as a state-of-the-art training facility for amateur and professional athletes by Elite Game Speed will serve as the largest indoor training facility of its kind in Tampa. The facility opened on Nov. 30.
