  • Sabre Real Estate names execs

    Garden City, N.J. -- Sabre Real Estate Group said that Beth Lamport has joined the firm as executive VP.

    Previously a director at Breslin Realty, Lamport also was a broker at Polimeni Realty and spent more 20 years as a marketing executive at Federal Department Stores, which owned Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Filene’s and Stern’s and now is known as Macy’s Inc.

  • Best Buy-out of Carphone Warehouse to shift mobile focus in Europe

    MINNEAPOLIS — Best Buy Co. said Monday it is buying out its joint venture partner, Carphone Warehouse Group PLC, in its fast-growing North American mobile business for $1.34 billion. As part of the reorganization of its relationship with the U.S. consumer electronics giant, Carphone Warehouse will shutter the 11 pilot big-box Best Buy stores it opened last year in the United Kingdom.

  • Robert Marc, Malia Mills to open on Madison Avenue

    New York City -- Prudential Douglas Elliman's Retail Group said it has completed leases for the third and fourth new tenants at 1225 Madison Ave., between 88th and 89th Streets, with eyewear designer Robert Marc and custom-fit swimwear stylist Malia Mills.

    The team also arranged a long-term lease for cashmere designer Christopher Fischer, following a two-year stint there as a pop-up shop.

  • Shoe Show to open at Victory Square

    Savannah, Ga. -- Brixmor Property Group announced Tuesday a 4,800-sq.-ft. lease has been executed with Shoe Show at Victory Square, located in Savannah, Ga.

    Brixmor, based in New York City, is the owner of Victory Square.
     

  • Four new leases signed at Festival at Woodholme

    Baltimore -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers announced that it it has leased 10,774 sq. ft. of retail space to four new tenants at Festival at Woodholme, located in Baltimore.

  • RCS to facilitate closing of Priscilla of Boston stores

    New York City -- RCS Real Estate Advisors said Tuesday it has been retained by bridal retailer Priscilla of Boston to facilitate the closing of its business.

    According to Ivan L. Friedman, president and CEO of RCS, the company will facilitate the closing of all 20 Priscilla of Boston locations, effective Dec. 31, by negotiating cost-effective lease terminations or locating replacement tenants.

    Priscilla of Boston announced its closing in early September.
     

  • Flying Cupcake to open at Rivers Edge Shopping Center

    Indianapolis -- Kite Realty Group said that The Flying Cupcake has leased 856 sq. ft. at Rivers Edge Shopping Center, located in Indianapolis.

    Rivers Edge, recently renovated, is anchored by Nordstrom Rack, Buy Buy Baby, The Container Store, Harry & Izzy’s and soon Arhaus Furniture. The total GLA is 152,575 sq. ft.

  • Bon-Ton real estate strategy includes two store closings in Pa., Ohio

    York, Pa. -- As part of a real estate realignment strategy, The Bon-Ton Stores Inc. on Tuesday said it will close two of its department stores, one in Pennsylvania and the other in Ohio, when their leases expire in early 2012.

    The company said it plans to close its store in the West Manchester Mall in York, Pa., in January, and its Elder-Beerman store in the Northwest Mall in Dayton, Ohio, which will shut down in February.
