    The Equality Rewards iPhone app is downloadable free through the Apple App Store or you can sign-up through your smartphone.

    WESTKLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. — Dole is on a 4,800-mile banana truck tour in an attempt to get Americans to eat more fruits and veggies, namely bananas. Company representatives will travel for a total of 102 days in a pink-and-turquoise truck during the Peel the Love Summer Food Truck Tour.

  • Value City launches social media contest

    Columbus, Ohio -- Value City Furniture and American Signature Furniture are launching a social media contest to promote their new e-commerce sites. Customers can win prizes for sharing favorite items from the retailers’ websites and sharing them on the Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Instagram and/or Pinterest accounts. Customers can enter through any or all of these social networks through July 1. The retailers, owned by American Signature Inc., are giving away up to $10,000 in free furniture as part of the contest.

  • Survey: Women seek value, connection

    Minneapolis -- Female consumers are looking for value and deeper connections, according to results of the fifth annual “What Women Want” survey. The study, conducted by Ginger Consulting, indicates that women are responsible for or influence $7 trillion of annual purchases in the U.S., including 85% of all consumer and business purchases and 60% of automobile purchases,

  • Kohl’s donates $1.5m to Wis. children’s hospital

    MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. — Kohl’s has donated $1.5 million to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin on behalf of Kohl’s Cares, the company’s philanthropic arm. 

    The money will fund the Kohl’s Cares Grow Safe & Healthy program designed to make Wisconsin kids and families aware of safety risks in and out of their homes, and the necessary steps to help avoid injury. The $1.5 million gift represents the largest corporate donation to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin this year.
