  • DSW announces four new stores

    Columbus, Ohio – DSW Inc. plans to open four new stores on Sept. 18. The new stores will be located at the Pinnacle Promenade in Rogers, Arkansas, Ingram Festival in Ingram, Texas, Waugh Chapel Town Center in Crofton, Maryland, and Evansville Pavilion in Evansville, Indiana.

    Stores offer the DSW Rewards loyalty program, and customers can also participate in the Shoe Lovers program on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

     

  • Study: Mobile rich media drives expansion, engagement

    New York - Mobile rich media advertising drives high expansion rates and secondary engagement for retail brands. According to internal retail industry mobile ad performance analyses conducted by predictive mobile advertising provider AdTheorent Inc. across its network during the second quarter of 2014, rich media drove a strong expansion rate across the retail category, delivering at a rate 125% higher than the industry average.

  • Anheuser-Busch launches mobile gifting pilot campaign on Facebook

    Anheuser-Busch has teamed up with Gratafy to launch a mobile gifting pilot on Facebook designed to enable real-time connections between the beer brand and its customers.

    A series of Anheuser-Busch campaigns will target consumers nationwide in their Facebook News Feeds, giving them the ability to send friends a Budweiser (budweiser.com/budsforbuds) or Bud Light (budlight.com/birthday) in select cities, beginning with Chicago and Denver.

  • Toys ‘R’ Us holiday strategy includes online and in-store enhancements

    New York -- With just 105 shopping days left until Christmas (as of Sept. 10), Toys “R” Us outlined its holiday strategy at a preview event in New York City. Among the highlights: free online layaway, enhanced loyalty program, improved online and in-store checkout, and two new in-store shops.

    GameStop has teamed up with Alliance Data Systems Corporation (ADS), a leading global data-driven marketing and loyalty programs provider, to deploy a GameStop-branded private label credit card program.

  • Survey: Consumers like in-store pickup of online purchases

    Lewisville, Texas – Consumers are increasingly interested in the BOPIS (buy online, pickup in store) option for making purchases. According to a new survey of 1,992 U.S. adults by custom incentive company Parago, 63% of shoppers BOPIS (buy online, pickup in store) at least a few times a year, but 82% percent would consider doing so to receive a $10 rebate on a $50 item.

  • Toys ‘R’ Us gears up for holiday season

    During a Special Preview Event, Hank Mullany, president, Toys“R”Us, U.S., discussed steps the company has taken so far this year to prepare for the upcoming holiday season.

    The company has bolstered its leadership team, completed inventory clearance event to make way for holiday products and launched a new loyalty program called Rewards“R”Us.

    New York – Proximity marketing solutions provider Thinaire is introducing its new ActiveShopper digital-coupon-solution that lets brands and retailers deliver incentives to shoppers in the store. Thinaire has integrated loyalty rewards and coupon delivery into its cloud-based mobile engagement platform.
