    NEW YORK — Nine West has launched a new YouTube network called Channel 9 that will feature premium programming and user-generated content.

    NEW YORK — Stacy London, host of TLC's "What Not To Wear," will serve has host during New York & Company's Fashion's Night Out event on Sept. 6.

    The retailer's participation in the event will include an in-store DJ at its 58th & Lexington Store, who will spin music while London and her team help style customers.

    NEW YORK — Customers who shop at Macy's and Macys.com on Aug. 25 can feel extra good, as the money raised during this charity shopping event will help support March of Dimes, a leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health.

  • Bud Light sets sail for cruising music festival

    ST. LOUIS — Pitbull, Brad Paisley, Flo Rida and The All-American Rejects, will be among the musical acts to perform at the Bud Light Port Paradise Music Festival, a private two-day concert event in the Bahamas. The concert will take place at Atlantis in Nassau on Saturday, Nov. 17 and on the private island of Coco Cay on Sunday, Nov. 18. 

  • Sam’s eyes slice of Texas BTS pie

    Sam’s Club is temporarily suspending is membership fee this weekend to engage in Texas’ tax-free holiday and promote new member sign ups.

    The tax-free holiday for back-to-school products begins today and runs through Sunday. Texas is home to 74 of Sam’s 613 U.S. clubs, and during the same three-day period Sam’s will allow non-members to shop its clubs.

  • AutoZone achieves major milestone

    Friday promises to be a big day in Wasilla, Alaska, as the town receives the distinction of being the location of the 5,000th AutoZone store.

    A presentation and ribbon cutting ceremony to be held Friday afternoon will be attended by U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), and Wasilla Mayor Verne Rupright along with the Wasilla Chamber of Commerce board of directors.

  • Gearing Up for the Holidays in an Election Year

    When the days grow shorter and the air starts to turn chilly, retail companies prepare for their hottest time of year. As they get ready for the holiday season, retailers will do well to keep three additional factors in mind:

    u Adjust for the presidential election. Typically, retailers market heavily in October and early November to drive store foot traffic as the holidays begin. Early marketing efforts, however, will not go as far this holiday season.
