MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. — Designer Derek Lam's Rio de Janeiro inspired collection is now available at Kohl's as part of the retailer's DesigNation series. The limited edition, limited time collection is Lam’s first collaboration with Kohl’s and also marks his first swimwear collection.

Total U.S. Shopper Traffic in Retail Stores and Malls for March 2013

Shopper activity increased last month with the Easter holiday and students on spring break. March retail foot traffic increased 25.8% compared with February 2013, continuing positive month-over-month retail traffic trends. Foot traffic for March 2013 increased 1.5% compared with the same month in 2012. 

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Gander Mountain will open Minnesota's first Gander Mtn. Firearms Super Center in Rogers. in late April. It will be the company's 12th store in the state.

RICHARDSON, Texas — Best Buy has partnered with Samsung Electronics to install Samsung Experience Shops in more than 1,400 Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile specialty stores across the United States beginning this month. By early May, 900 Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile specialty stores will feature the Samsung Experience Shop, with the remainder launching by early summer.

ECRM compared retail circular advertising in March 2012 vs. March 2013 and noticed some common overall trends across top retail chains. Surprisingly the total number of pages per circular increased across the majority of retailers included in the study which shows that retailers are still focused heavily on their print circulars.
