  • Scotts Miracle-Gro teams up with Velcro to enhance packaging

    The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company has turned to Velcro Industries to help it enhance packaging for its Scotts EZ Seed grass seed with Velcro-brand PRESS-LOK closure technology.

    The leading marketer of branded consumer lawn and garden products and Velcro Industries worked with manufacturer Peel Plastics Products, a recognized leader in product and process innovation, to integrate Velcro Industries' PRESS-LOK closure technology into Scotts' grass seed package.  

  • Tide Pods teams up with fashion designer Tracy Reese

    Tide Pods, a line of laundry detergent capsules from Proctor & Gamble, has partnered with clothing designer and Council of Fashion Designers of America member Tracy Reese.

    For the first time, Reese will be introducing machine-washable fashions as part of her fall 2014 collection. The collaboration is in conjunction with the Tide Pods and CFDA Washable Fashion Initiative, a response to the ongoing demand for washable garments and an uptick in consumer appetite for designer fashions.

  • Tiffany’s uses vinyl window displays

    New York -- Impact Architectural Signs completed a street-level, storefront signage project for Tiffany's in Chicago that served as a fall seasonal promotion to help sell upscale watches. The Michigan Avenue retailer used vinyl window graphics in which gold vinyl film was used to suggest a clock face.

  • Pantone: And the color of the year is …

    Carlstadt, N.J. -- Pantone, an X-Rite company and the global color authority, announced Pantone 18-3224 Radiant Orchid as the color of the year for 2014.

  • Domino’s offers Facebook promotion

    Ann Arbor, Mich. – Domino’s is running a special global Facebook promotion giving customers in 42 countries a 50% discount on menu-priced pizza ordered online. Through Dec. 8, customers can visit their country’s Domino’s Facebook page to see if they can redeem the offer.

  • West Elm opens U.K. store Dec. 5

    San Francisco – West Elm is scheduled to open the company's first U.K. store in London on Dec. 5. The 12,000-sq.-ft. store will feature furniture, textiles, accessories and gifts, as well as a West Elm Market shop-in-shop and coffee shop. The store will employ 30 full- and part-time sales associates.

    The London store will include a Local Gallery Wall featuring art from U.K. artists sourced through Etsy, the online marketplace for handmade or vintage items. The wall is curated by Will Taylor of the blog Bright.Bazaar.

  • Chef Boyardee teams up with… Microsoft?

    Chef Boyardee is driving sales by partnering with Microsoft to offer customers a chance to win the highly coveted Xbox One.

    Five daily winners will be selected between now and Feb. 18, 2014. Participants must visit www.winwithchef.com and enter the eight-digit code found on specially marked cans and microwave cups of Chef Boyardee.
