  • Office Depot gets contracts valued at $400M

    Office Depot has been awarded two contracts valued in excess of $400 million.

    The retailer will be partnering with Region 4 Education Service Center and TCPN, which offers cooperative contract solutions to K-12 schools, local governments, colleges and universities. The new agreements with Office Depot include office and school supplies, furniture, technology products and copy and print services provided at significant discounts and savings to eligible public agency customers.

  • Kate Spade designs for West Elm

    Home furnishings retailer West Elm announced it is teaming up with Kate Spade Saturday to launch an exclusive collection of furniture, bedding, rugs and home accessories.

    The Kate Spade Saturday + West Elm collection is Kate Spade Saturday’s first home collaboration and will be available in West Elm stores in the United States and Canada and on westelm.com in early January.

  • Survey: Many retailers fail to target new customers

    Every retailer wants to acquire new customers, but apparently not every retailer knows how to draw them in. New data from loyalty intelligence provider Colloquy and sponsored by Chase Merchant Services show that a whopping 60% of retailers admitted they don't have a good process in place for effectively targeting new customers.

    In addition, 85% of retailers are in search of ways to add value to their retail offering outside of discounts, promotions and /or loyalty programs.

    New York – Every retailer wants to acquire new customers, but not every retailer knows how to draw them in. According to new retailer and consumer survey data from loyalty intelligence provider Colloquy and sponsored by Chase Merchant Services, 60% of retailers admitted they lack reliable data to support effective targeting of new customers for acquisition purposes.  
  • With help from friends, consumers can win Mellow Mushroom contest

    Atlanta – Pizza chain Mellow Mushroom is partnering with beer brand Stella Artois to provide rewards to consumers who post photos on Twitter and Instagram, with a little help from their friends. By posting “usies” (“selfies” with a friend) using the hashtag #MellowStellaContest, Mellow Mushroom followers are entered in a contest featuring a getaway and other prizes.  
  • Sherwin-Williams boosts '15 outlook

    On the heels of announcing a new partnership with Lowe's and HGTV, Sherwin-Williams Co. is predicting healthy sales growth for this year and next year. For the full year 2014, the company expects consolidated net sales to increase approximately 9% compared with full year 2013.

  • HGTV paints to launch at Lowe's

    The paint competition will heat up in March as Lowe’s rolls out HGTV HOME by Sherwin-Williams.

    The HGTV HOME by Sherwin-Williams product line will feature what both companies describe as “a new and improved interior and exterior paint program.” The line will be available at both Sherwin-Williams' company stores and Lowe's stores nationwide, as well as exclusive line extensions available at Lowe's.

  • Dick’s looks to score with hoops tourney

    Basketball season is just now getting underway but next spring when top high school teams square off at a tournament in New York Dick’s Sporting Goods will be there as title sponsor of the event.

    For the second consecutive year, Dicks will serve as title sponsor of the event to be held April 2-4, 2015 and televised on ESPN networks.
