    Miller Lite is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with Danny Trejo and Richard Rawlings by making a $10,000 contribution to the ¡Adelante! U.S. Education Leadership Fund. The two celebrities will go head to head during a friendly beer sales competition slated to take place before the start of the Sept. 28 Cowboys game at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

    Sequential Brands Group has selected actress Paula Patton as the new face and brand ambassador for Ellen Tracy.

    Patton's role as brand ambassador begins this November when she will spearhead a global initiative to commemorate women's contributions during the last 65 years. The partnership coincides with seasonal collections and campaigns and extends throughout 2015.

  • Cole Haan teams up with three New York City Ballet dancers

    Lifestyle footwear and accessories brand Cole Haan has entered into a multiyear partnership with three ballerinas of the New York City Ballet for its Cole Haan Avery Ballet Studio Collection.

    The collection re-materializes the classic Avery Ballet Flat, according to the brand, and features product inspired and co-created by Principal Dancers Sara Mearns and Megan Fairchild, as well as Gretchen Smith of the Corps de Ballet.

  • Dole enlists actress Ali Larter to help introduce new garden soup

    Dole has teamed up with actress Ali Larter to introduce Dole Garden Soup, a premium line of packaged, ready-to-serve soups.

    According to Dole, the line of soups — which is packaged in BPA-free boxes — has no preservatives or MSG, and is available in five low-fat, gluten-free and cholesterol-free varieties: Roasted Garlic Tomato Basil, Tomato Vegetable, Carrot Ginger, Southwestern Black Bean & Corn and Sweet Corn.

  • Family Dollar makes $458,000 donation to Feeding America

    Family Dollar is staying focused on making a difference in communities where it operates even as it remains the target of takeover battle between Dollar General and Dollar Tree.

    The company has made a $458,000 donation to Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger relief charity. The amount includes donations from Family Dollar and customers at more than 8,200 Family Dollar stores during the retailer’s ‘Feeding Families, Fueling Hope’ campaign. The donation translates to more than 4.5 million meals for children and families in need.
